PROVINCIAL COUNCIL REPORT CONT.<br />

Reports: Membership Officer<br />

Bro Pat Moran, Provincial Records Officer spoke to the reports as circulated. He noted that a data base <strong>of</strong><br />

members was now being maintained for each <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Province</strong>’s fourteen Circles. He undertook to liaise with<br />

Bro Chris Pitts concerning the security / privacy aspects <strong>of</strong> uploading these data onto the Provincial Website.<br />

In the meantime, Circle Secretaries could contact him if they wished to receive a copy <strong>of</strong> their Circle’s data<br />

base. The updated Provincial Directory was expected to be finalised by end May.<br />

Council noted that Bro Paul Despoges, as Provincial Membership Officer, would present the Friar Tuck trophy<br />

to Mosman Circle at a mutually convenient time and occasion. Bro Phil Davies would manage the updating <strong>of</strong><br />

the tankard’s plaque as appropriate each year.<br />

Strategic Development and Reform – update<br />

Bro John Tweedie drew Council’s attention to Grand Secretary’s newsletter No 37 and the outcomes <strong>of</strong> the<br />

consultation process in the UK. He suggested that the results <strong>of</strong> the consultation showed that many UK<br />

brothers appeared to have views consistent with those expressed by <strong>Australia</strong>n brothers on various aspects <strong>of</strong><br />

structural reform <strong>of</strong> the Association, particularly as it affects <strong>Australia</strong>.<br />

As there had been no meeting, there was no report.<br />

Strategic Plan <strong>20</strong>13-18 and Outcomes <strong>of</strong> Provincial Workshop<br />

Reports: Vice President<br />

Bro John Tweedie spoke to the report circulated. Council noted that Bro Peter Moriarty would manage<br />

arrangements for the Corpus Christi procession this year and that Council would negotiate suitable<br />

acknowledgement / sponsorship arrangements for next year. There were no other matters arising from the<br />

report.<br />

Council noted the following arrangements for hosting upcoming provincial events:<br />

• Provincial Mass Parramatta Sunday 28 July <strong>20</strong>13<br />

• O’Connell Cup Mosman 8 August <strong>20</strong>13<br />

• Truthful Jones Castle Hill 24 September <strong>20</strong>13<br />

• Little John Mug Mosman 13 February <strong>20</strong>14<br />

• Provincial Golf Day Muirfield March <strong>20</strong>14 (Paul Despoges and<br />

Malcolm Clow to confirm timing and arrangements)<br />
