POSITION SUMMARY:<br />
This position provides support and assistance to the underwriting and assistant underwriting staff.<br />
<strong>JOB</strong> DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include operating numerous data entry programs that<br />
aide in the collection of data for and organization of reports, policies, endorsements, and cancellation of<br />
insurance policies. Also may handle any other tasks assigned by higher level underwriters and assistant<br />
underwriters. This position is also responsible for the data entry of incoming non-money policy changes and/or<br />
cancellations according to the company guidelines. This includes reviewing and screening requests, issuing new<br />
policies, verifying information is entered within a 3 day time frame and is accurate. Also performs other duties<br />
and responsibilities as required.<br />
RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />

1. Ordering data for and organizing reports to prepare for review by underwriting 25%<br />
2. Issuing new business policies, non-money endorsements, and flat cancellations 50%<br />
3. Entering data for reporting to various reporting agencies 15%<br />
4. Other various duties and responsibilities as required 10%<br />
5. Pursue education to enhance industry knowledge by completing:<br />

EDUCATION:<br />
High School Diploma or it’s equivalent<br />
EXPERIENCE:<br />
2-4 years of related experience<br />
KSAs: Accurate, efficient data entry skills, and familiarity of windows-based programs. Must<br />
be able to handle multiple responsibilities and demonstrate good organizational skills. One must<br />
be customer service centric, and work well in a team environment.

None<br />
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Multiple data entry programs, facsimile, copier machine, and other<br />
standard office equipment. Software: AS400, Image Right, Faxsys, Word, Excel, ACT, e-mail, Adobe<br />

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:<br />
Must sit be able to sit for 7.5 hours a day and read a computer screen during this time.<br />

Must be able to make prudent decisions, know where and when to ask for assistance, and posses<br />
a certain degree of creativity. One must also be able to maintain composure in highly stressful<br />
