BOOTS FOR FIRE According to EN 15090 (EN ISO 20344 and EN ISO 20345) The basic requirements – perfect protection and optimum fit Heat, cold, flames, water, oil, petrol (gasoline), chemicals, electricity and sharp objects have to be kept away from the feet of the fire men as well as safe hold has to be ensured. Ergonomics, optimum freedom of movement, maximum shock-absorbing properties and high level of wearer comfort are united by the ROSENBAUER boots. Test it and you will be delighted! High quality materials only: • Hydrophobic waterproof leather • Impregnated seams • Foamed material padding • Heat-resistant 3M reflective stripes, silver • Nail-proof Nitrile air-cushion sole • Replaceable, moisture-regulating and washable sole inlay • Steel toe-cap and cover of rubber Some Tests from EN 15090 (EN ISO 20344/EN ISO 20345) • Compression resistance and impact resistance of the toe protection • Penetration resistance: may not be less than 1100 N • Electrical resistance of antistatic footwear: 100kΩ - 1000MΩ • Leak proofness • Tear strength of the tongue: may not be less than 36 N for leather • Abrasion resistance outsole: volume reduction may not be more than 250 mm 3 • Flexing resistance of the sole: 30.000 flexing cycles • Water vapour permeability (upper): at least 0,8 mg/(cm 2 . h) • Water absorption and water penetration: water absorption within the first 60 min. ≤ 30 % - no water penetration Test of tear strength Meanings of symbols: HI3: Insulation against heat level of performance 3 at 250˚C/40min CI: cold insulation HRO: resistance to hot contact During the development of the boots, some other extreme long-term tests than mentioned in the EN ISO 20345 were made – all with best results!
