Meeting started at 7.35pm.<br />

1.0 Welcome<br />

Ian Reid welcomed everyone to the meeting.<br />

2.0 Previous minutes<br />

The minutes of the meeting of Wednesday 1 June 2011 were carried and accepted by<br />

Jane Bell and seconded by Ian Reid.<br />

3.0 HSC and ATAR.Presentation by Mr Brett Scovell This presentation is on the <strong>School</strong><br />

website.<br />

Main points:<br />

Your <strong>School</strong> does not affect your HSC mark.<br />

HSC mark is made up of 50% Assessment and 50%from Exam mark. .<br />

UAI – marks best of 10 units. ( 2 unit English + 8 remaining units).<br />

4.0 Principal’s Report by Deputy Principal Ms Kemp<br />

-Term 3 – inspirational talk by Li Cunxin, author of Mao’s Last Dancer


- Year 7 places have been offered for 2012<br />

- Staff changes – Mr Gaskin, Mrs Campbell, Ms Quirk retiring<br />

- Aircraft Noise update – Rowe Buildling re roofed, Kilgour rooms completed in Term 4.<br />

- Congratulations made to Students who achieved awards – refer June Mercurius<br />

- Strategic planning taking place for 2012-2014 with draft plan to be presented at Sept P & C<br />

- Calendar 2012 proposed P & C events needed in next 2 weeks.<br />

- <strong>School</strong> Certificate – this is the last year for this exam.<br />

- National Curriculum for 2013 has been delayed by NSW until 2014<br />

5.0 – President’s report<br />

HSC Visual Arts to be on 16 August at 5.30pm., followed by HSC Drama performance at<br />

6.30pm<br />

Meeting ended 9.20pm.<br />

Next meeting is at 7.30pm on Wed 14 Sept 2011 in <strong>School</strong> library.
