OVERVIEW
This programme can be customised to
your specialist area of interest and is
designed for those who want to continue
on to a doctoral programme or into higher
level positions in the workforce.
Speciality topics are:
• Biomechanics
• Exercise Physiology
• Sport Coaching
• Exercise Rehabilitation
• Sport Nutrition
• Sport and Exercise Psychology
Thesis or paper(s) and dissertation
options are also available.
WHAT’S INVOLVED
You will research in a supportive, creative
and dynamic research culture, growing
both capability and capacity in key areas.

internal and external agencies.
You will work with tutors who are highly
regarded in the industry and specialists in
their field. Our laboratories are accredited
with Sport Science New Zealand and
regarded as amongst the best sport
science facilities in New Zealand.
You will have access to state-of-the-art
sport testing and consulting as used by
national and international athletes. And
to top it all off, you will be able to train in
a modern, fully equipped gymnasium.
ENTRY CRITERIA - SUMMARY
Entry requires an undergraduate degree
in Sport and Exercise Science with a grade
average of B or better, or a Postgraduate
Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science, or
a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science
(Honours), or equivalent.

in Sport and Exercise Science or
equivalent experience.
