Issues and Strategies Proposed<br />
• Aims to prepare customized guidelines and approach that will facilitate<br />
tourism in the city.<br />
• Strike a balance between interpretation, conservation and the provision of<br />
visitor facilities.<br />
ISSUES<br />
• During Booking: There are problems related to information dissemination.<br />
• During travelling: The visitors face problems regarding signage and transport,<br />
lack of tourism kiosks/booths offering maps and literature, safety, emergency<br />
phones which connect directly to police stations.<br />
• During staying: : distance between hotels and heritage sites, lack of<br />
information available about the heritage sites in hotels.<br />
• During visitation to heritage sites: Overcrowding and long queues, lack of<br />
quality services and hygiene, not having a variety of things to do in one area<br />
as this would distribute the visitors at peak areas, healthy environment within<br />
the streets of heritage residential area.<br />
