“Success in Life” Dr. David Washington Tues Aug 28 Noon–1:30 pm. Dr. Washington explains the role <strong>of</strong> perspective,<br />
effort, and courage in reaching personal goals. Participants will receive practical and actionable advice to develop their<br />
own life plan.<br />
Balancing a Healthy Life Workshop/Time Management (L&L) Wed/Thurs Aug 29/30 12:30–1:30 pm. What do you do when<br />
your child is sick and you have a paper due? If being a student has made your life messier, come learn how to manage<br />
it all and meet others who are too!<br />

This workshop will help you develop strategies on how to become a more successful student.<br />
Money Management Workshop Wed Sept 19th. Need help saving money? Come listen to the experts give you tips on<br />
saving, and ways to be frugal with your spending.<br />
“The Four P’s To <strong>College</strong> Success” Griffin Thurs Sept 27th. The Four P’s will assist participants in gaining a clear<br />
understanding <strong>of</strong> their purpose, creating a holistic model to maintain their plan, evaluate previous practices <strong>of</strong><br />
procrastination and ultimately how to enhance their pr<strong>of</strong>essionalism.<br />
International Festival Fri Sept 28 4:30–10:00 pm In its 27th year, the International Festival is a cultural and artistic<br />
event that showcases music, dance, cuisine, art, and cultural education from 55 diverse cultures.<br />
Family Ice Skating Night Sat Oct 6th. Come skate with <strong>SGA</strong> at the Hillsborough Sportsplex. Bring your family, bring a<br />
friend, and come “chill” with us for some family fun.<br />

Test Anxiety (L&L) Flowers Wed / Thurs Nov 14/15 12:30–1:30 pm. Feeling nervous? Make your anxiety work for you!<br />
Get some tips on how to turn the tables on test anxiety and prevent it from overwhelming you in the future.<br />
Exam Cram Thurs Dec 6 9 am–2 pm. Student activities center Are you ready for your final exams? If not, <strong>SGA</strong> and the<br />
Social & Behavioral Sciences Department are sponsoring Exam Cram for students needing a quiet place to study and<br />
some last minute test prep.
