Confidentiality <strong>an</strong>d <strong>an</strong>onymity should be assured <strong>to</strong> encourage<br />

employees <strong>to</strong> participate.<br />

HR <strong>an</strong>d business processes should be developed <strong>an</strong>d embedded<br />

within the agency <strong>to</strong> support the cultural ch<strong>an</strong>ge.<br />

Induction assists new employees <strong>to</strong> integrate in<strong>to</strong> the workplace<br />

culture <strong>an</strong>d <strong>to</strong> underst<strong>an</strong>d what is expected of them. Review<br />

induction processes <strong>to</strong> ensure they promote <strong>an</strong> age inclusive<br />

culture - seek input from employees in all age groups.<br />

Essential communication<br />

Pilbara TAFE communicates<br />

activities <strong>to</strong> the workforce via the<br />

org<strong>an</strong>isation’s intr<strong>an</strong>et, email,<br />

telephone, team meetings <strong>an</strong>d the<br />

‘Communication Corridor’. The<br />

Communication corridor is a weekly<br />

event on Thursday mornings where<br />

lecturers participate in a collaborative<br />

meeting. Where possible no<br />

programs or lectures are scheduled<br />

during this time.<br />
