Inside Sultanahmet
Mosque
by Emperor Justinian and it was used
as a church until 1453.
When Mehmed 11 which was Ottoman
Sultan on that period conquered İstanbul
in 1453, it was converted from
church to a mosque. In 1935, Mustafa
Kemal Ataturk converted it to a museum.
Blue Mosque - Sultan Ahmet Camii
(Closed on Friday Mornings because
of the Friday Prayer)
Imperial Mosque of Sultan Ahmet
(1609-1 616) is one of the great masterpieces
of the world and it is the last
sample of classical Ottoman architecture.
The name “Blue” comes from the famous
blue lznik (Nicea) tiles which
adorn the entire interior of the
mosque. It is also the only Ottoman
mosque with 6 minarets among the
other mosques.
Hippodrome of Constantinople - Sultanahmet
Meydanı
Being used as an arena for chariot races,
athletic activities and rebellions in
Byzantium Era, Hippodrome was also
used for similar purposes including executions
in Ottoman Period. Today, it
is the heart of the Old City which hosts
other ancient monuments.

Ottoman Relics

Topkapi Palace for you to discover.
That visit will enable you to see how
pure Classical Ottoman lifestyle combined
with Islamic traditions was.
Today, you have also chance to see
Sacred Relics of Islam in a special section
of the museum. The driver will
pick you up from your hotel and assist
to meet with your tour guide between
12:45- 13:1 5 according to your hotel location.

(Closed on Tuesdays & replaced with
Archaeological Museum)
Started to build in 1460 and finished
in 1478 for Sultan Mehmet - the conqueror
of İstanbul, Topkapi Palace was the
primary residence of Ottoman Sultans.
The palace was transformed into a
museum in 1924 and was declared as a
*World Heritage by Unesco in 1985
Harem Section is not included in the
itinerary because it needs additional
time and fee so please check with
your tour guide if you would like to
spend time over there on your own.
Grand Bazaar - Kapalıcarsı
(Closed on Sundays & replaced with
Spice Bazaar)
In addition to its historical importance,
it’ s a bazaar that will tempt even the
nonshoppers with its rich collection
of precious handmade carpets, jewellery,
leather and souvenirs. You have
