gourmet treats range from an unparalleled<br />
collection of the finest regional olive<br />
oils to rich seasonal preserves and marmalades,<br />
vinegars, molasses, spices, teas,<br />
dried fruits, honey and confectionery.<br />
NAR Gourmet’s restaurant venture,<br />
NAR Restaurant, is located on the fifth<br />
floor of ARMAGGAN Nuruosmaniye<br />
Store. From palace cuisine to village<br />
fare, its seasonal menu features the full<br />
spectrum of Turkey’s culinary heritage<br />
with a special emphasis on traditional<br />
methods and artisan ingredients.<br />
Since the Turks appeared on the stage<br />
of history they have created cultural syntheses<br />
that have left their mark on all the<br />
regions where they have lived, and the<br />
Turkish contribution to cuisine has been<br />
wide ranging.<br />
NAR Gourmet gives new life to traditional<br />
Turkish food products that have imparted<br />
flavour to the cuisine for centuries, and<br />
now at NAR Restaurant offers a special<br />
menu with a rich diversity of dishes incorporating<br />
these delicious flavours.<br />
NAR Restaurant’s interior design is dominated<br />
by modern Turkish style, creating<br />
an appropriate setting for the visual extravaganza<br />
of the Turkish culinary art. The<br />
restaurant offers a matchless menu of<br />
memorable and flavour-filled specialities.<br />
YESAM Culinary Arts Center, located on<br />
the fourth floor of the same building, was<br />
established by Turkish Cultural Foundation<br />
(TCF). Supported by NAR Gourmet,<br />
YESAM Culinary Arts Center is dedicated<br />
to reviving and preserving Turkey’s culinary<br />
heritage and cooking styles, and<br />
preserving them for existing and future<br />
generations. The foods and food-related<br />
traditions recorded and the educational<br />
models developed by YESAM Culinary<br />
Arts Center continuously add value to<br />
NAR Gourmet processes.<br />
Services<br />
NAR Restaurant has an indoor seating capacity<br />
of 150 people for a la carte meals and<br />
130 people for banquets. The front terrace<br />
can seat 40 people for banquets and the<br />
side terrace 30 people for banquets. There<br />
are three terraces, with a capacity of 70<br />
people. The sections of the terraces facing<br />
the Covered Bazaar are mainly used for<br />
dinner receptions, while those overlooking<br />
the main road house the cafe and a la carte<br />
restaurant. The roof terrace is open during<br />
the summer months, and is a perfect venue<br />
for private receptions.<br />
In addition, there are three seminar rooms<br />
for corporate and private meetings, two<br />
seating 25 people and one seating 35<br />
people. Since these are divided by movable<br />
partitions, the rooms can be thrown<br />
into one, creating a large room seating<br />
80-120 people.
