The overhead increases monotonically with the distance <strong>for</strong> both up- as well as downlink<br />

direction. It is around 10percent near AP, while it increases about up to 70percent <strong>for</strong> the<br />

farthest terminal.<br />

Interestingly, the overhead <strong>for</strong> up- and downlink differs significantly at larger distances.<br />

The reason <strong>for</strong> this lies in the fact that the AP can only take into account packets <strong>for</strong> nodes’<br />

V Umeasure, which are assignable to specific nodes. This is not possible in case of erroneous<br />

packets in uplink direction.<br />
