of a permanent corridor having
perpetually disturbed vegetation
and allowing access to trucks and
off-road vehicles will almost
certainly increase the spread of
invasive weeds.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, BCTC has developed a
comprehensive invasive plant management program and is committed to
implementing this program during construction and operation of the
proposed transmission lines.
Mitigation measures will be outlined in
the construction EMP for the project.

A more updated version of the EOA report was produced and was
submitted as a part of the CPCN Application to the BC Utilities Commission.
This table was revised and now recommends that BCTC “Have a qualified
professional conduct a detailed assessment of rare plants and sensitive
ecosystems along the route once the final alignment has been selected. “
At this time the alignment of the 230kV transmission line has not been
finalized. BCTC will consider this information at the time of finalizing the
alignment.
