That’s zero time plate changing:
i.e.: Simultaneously washing blankets at 600 rph while rinsing rollers at
9000 rph, the plates hanging time is absorbed in those two cycles.
Quick Command:
With the Roland 700 press, you get the advantage of fiber optics for rapid
ink setting changes instantly, instead of taking 150 sheets to make a color
change with analog electronics, fiber optics works at the speed of the light.
So all inks settings can be changed on every printing unit no matter how
many there are, as fast as 4 seconds!
On the fly print length changes:
To counteract for stretching that comes with using post-consumer waste
recycled paper, the Roland 700 DirectDrive gives you another exceptional
feature which is the ability to correct print length electronically on the fly:
The sheet is divided into thirds. The first third is changed on the consol.
For the second third, you have the ability to grow or shrink 0.4mm either
direction to crank it out on the maximum of speed, even when using lower
quality recycled paper, which is fast.
Double clutch multi-tasking:
The double clutch mechanism is the key of the Roland 700 that drives the
plate’s cylinders independently from the rest of the machine.
Because the plate’s cylinders are driven independently, impressions
cylinders can be washed and blankets cylinders can be washed all
simultaneously as plates are changed hands free automatically.
And one more multi-tasking inking unit can be deactivated during production
which is fast.
