Overview: The Assignment Editor
The Assignment Editor allows you to create new assignments, edit the content, properties, or
appearance of existing assignments, copy assignments or delete assignments.
Options in the Assignment Editor

Lets you create new assignments.
Lets you modify existing assignments.
Lets you make a copy of an existing
assignment.
Lets you delete existing assignments.
Lets you hide an assignment so it is not
visible on the student assignment menu. Note
that this changes to “Show” once an
assignment is hidden.
Generates a version of your test that is
suitable for printing and distributing to
students as a pencil-and-paper assignment.
Provides a summary of your assignment.
Appears next to an assignment that is locked.
Assignments lock when students are active in
it. Assignments also lock if you exit the
Assignment Editor by closing your browser.
Always use the system navigation buttons.
Appears next to an assignment in the list
when the assignment originates in the parent
class from which your class was created.
Shared assignments can be edited, but
cannot be deleted.
Allows you to change the sequence of
assignments by selecting a new “position” for
an assignment using this menu.
