<strong>Biography</strong>: <strong>Margaret</strong> <strong>Moore</strong><br />
<strong>Margaret</strong> <strong>Moore</strong>/Coach Meg is an entrepreneur and 17‐year veteran <strong>of</strong> the biotechnology industry in<br />
the UK, Canada, US, and France. She served in executive roles at three companies which later joined<br />
AstraZeneca or San<strong>of</strong>iAventis. She served as CEO and COO <strong>of</strong> two early stage biotech companies.<br />
In 2000, <strong>Margaret</strong> shifted her focus from the high‐tech side <strong>of</strong> medicine to coaching, prevention, and<br />
well‐being, and founded Wellcoaches Corporation ‐ strategic partner <strong>of</strong> the American College <strong>of</strong> Sports<br />
Medicine, which is now a standard‐bearer for science‐based coach training and pr<strong>of</strong>essional coaches in<br />
healthcare. The Wellcoaches coach training school has trained more than 3,500 physical and mental<br />
health pr<strong>of</strong>essionals as health, fitness, or wellness coaches, and now trains more than 1,000 coaches<br />
each year.<br />
In order to build an academic home for coaching which is focused on building a scientific foundation <strong>of</strong><br />
coaching, <strong>Margaret</strong> is co‐director <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Coaching</strong> at McLean Hospital, an affiliate <strong>of</strong> Harvard<br />
Medical School <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Coaching</strong>, and co‐director <strong>of</strong> the annual Harvard Medical School coaching<br />
conference. <strong>Margaret</strong>’s collaboration with Edward Phillips, MD, to create a Harvard Medical School CME<br />
program to teach physicians basic coaching skills, led to the launch <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> Lifestyle Medicine<br />
at Harvard Medical School, <strong>of</strong> which <strong>Margaret</strong> is an advisor.<br />
<strong>Margaret</strong> is the lead or co‐author <strong>of</strong> books and articles including:<br />

learned to drive a tractor. She is a board member <strong>of</strong> the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. <strong>Margaret</strong> lives<br />
with her husband, Paul Clark, a prominent biotechnology patent attorney, in Wellesley, Massachusetts.<br />
