Quantum Multicom IP
Version 1.2
Emergency 911 Administrative Alert System
Any time a 911 call is placed through the Quantum system, your facility’s administrative
staff will be alerted. A distinct ring sounds and the initiating station
is displayed on both Administrative phones and wall displays to give in-house
staff the information they need to provide a swift response and accurately direct
emergency personnel.
Security Zones Activate Messages and Trigger External Equipment
Quantum’s unique security zones help alert administrators to breaches of secure
areas. Now administrators can have Quantum automatically send prerecorded
announcements to specific zones and trigger relay contacts to operate external
equipment such as security cameras.
Flexible and Robust Network Deployment
Hundreds of facilities have successfully installed thousands of Quantum nodes
communicating on their in-house networks since its launch in 2007. Bogen has
continuously improved Quantum to be extremely flexible and robust in deployment
over an exceedingly wide range of network topologies. The Version 1.2 release
provides a new level of adaptability and rock-solid operation.
Other Great Features and Improvements
(Quantum Multicom IP System, Ver. 1.2)
Centralized Software Upgrades
If you have the Version 1.2 release running on your system, then all that’s needed in the future
for a full system software upgrade is to load the new revision on to the primary node.
That node will take care of upgrading all the other nodes in the facility. On multi-node systems
this can be a big time saver and eliminate the chance of a node being missed.
Ready for the Unexpected
From a facility-wide power outage to a maintenance person yanking a node’s power cord to
plug in their vacuum, Quantum has been through it all. This version of Quantum delivers the
most stable and survivable power cycling version yet.
Administrative Phone Accessible Override System
New Administrative phone menus provide access to day schedules for quick changes.
Quantum Commander provides an easy to use way to access all Quantum system features,
but this feature was created for those who prefer a non-PC based approach.
Backup and Restore Tones and Messages
In just a few simple steps, you can back up custom tones and messages to an external
device and restore as needed.
Disable Call Announce
Quantum Version 1.2 provides the ability to turn the Admin Station’s incoming call announce
feature on and off through a simple database selection.
Text Labels
Create meaningful, user-friendly database names for Quantum schedules and zones.
MAC Address Display in Diagnostics
Quantum Diagnostics provides a simple way to discover the MAC address of a particular node,
which can be invaluable when troubleshooting network issues.
Off-Line Node Status Indication
Quantum Commander now offers immediate status information about the various system
nodes. All off-line nodes are now displayed in red text, allowing for easier troubleshooting.
Un-configure Node Option
This new feature allows nodes to be easily unconfigured and their database returned to
the factory default. This helps when troubleshooting and when cards are swapped between
different systems.
Local Node Audio Distribution Bypass
On single node systems where Quantum’s network-distributed, high bandwidth, audio
program channel will not be used, Quantum can be configured to bypass digital signal
encoding and connect analog audio program signals directly to the system amplifier.
