The Mayor is elected at-large for a two year term and is a non-voting member of the Board of Aldermen. The Board of Aldermen consists of five members elected to four-year terms. For a first-time license, you must have a certified birth certificate and pass a written law exam, a vision test and a road test. Applicants under the age of 18 must also have their school attendance verification from their principal’s office and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Testing offices are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. No testing after 4:30 pm.
