Small spill: Mop up & wash residue to drain with copious amounts of water. Large spill: Contain and place absorbent material such as vermiculite, sand or dirt onto spillage. Collect and place into a suitable labelled container. Clean area with soap and water, collect residue and place into the same container. If large quantities of this material enter the waterways contact the Environmental Protection Authority, or your local Waste Management Authority. Avoid eye contact. In the work environment: wear appropriate protective equipment to prevent exposure. Prevent the creation of vapours or mists in the work atmosphere and ensure adequate ventilation. Keep containers closed when not in use. Practice good personal hygiene, that is, always wash hands after handling, and before eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet facilities. Store in a cool, dry well-ventilated area away from heat and out of direct sunlight. Avoid contact with incompatible materials, such as those that support combustion, including strong oxidising agents. Keep containers closed when not in use and securely sealed and protected against physical damage. Inspect regularly for deficiencies such as damage or leaks. Not corrosive to metals. 8. However, over-exposure to some chemicals may result in enhancement of pre-existing adverse medical conditions and/or allergic reactions and should be kept to the least possible levels.
