and institutions.
Clem Dinsmore assists individuals,
businesses and non-profit
organizations with their financial
concerns to help them meet their
financial goals. His clients include a
broad range of people with a wide
including short-term investing, educating their children
Committee and the House Conservation and Natural
Resources Subcommittee of the House Government
Operations Committee, as well as Federal credit and
financial regulatory agencies, enhanced his
understanding of practical credit and accounting issues
and investment strategy. Clem has also participated in the
development of public policies affecting financial
institutions, community development, affordable housing
and the environment. When he practiced law, he also
created and taught graduate-level environmental policy
courses and advised a partnership of national
environmental organizations on the development of a
new mortgage loan product.
Clem is a graduate of Princeton University and the
University of Michigan Law School. He is married and has
two adult children. He retains his interest in local
a broad range of individuals, families and
We understand no two investors are alike. That is
why our approach begins with listening to you,
understanding the whole picture and then responding
means designing a specific solution to help meet a
unique need. At Oppenheimer, we appreciate and
respect these differences.
Oppenheimer
– A leading investment bank
– A full service investment firm
With roots tracing back more than a century,
Oppenheimer and its predecessor companies have
been pioneers in the financial services industry and
are known for their innovative work, particularly in
relation to asset management and equity research.
In January 2003, Fahnestock & Co. Inc. acquired
Oppenheimer & Co. and, in September of the same
year, adopted the name Oppenheimer for the
combined company. Oppenheimer is a leading
investment bank and full-service investment firm
serving high-net-worth investors, individuals,
families, businesses and institutions with a full suite
of integrated asset management, capital markets
and private client services.
Fahnestock was founded in 1881 in New York City as
a privately owned full-services securities brokerage
firm. It successfully weathered the Great Depression
and grew steadily over the years, expanding
significantly in the last decade through acquisitions.
Oppenheimer & Co. was founded in 1950 when a
partnership was created to act as a broker-dealer and
to manage related financial services. In 2008,
Oppenheimer Holdings Inc. announced the close of
the acquisition of a major part of CIBC World Markets’
U.S. capital markets businesses.
Today, Oppenheimer occupies a unique position
among competitors, thanks to the dedication,
expertise and creativity of its people. The firm has
been a groundbreaker in securities research and
asset management. Oppenheimer professionals
have earned the Firm an excellent reputation among
investors by being responsive to client needs, by
operating with the highest standards of objectivity
and integrity and by providing financial services that
put clients’ interests first.
1 If you select one or more of the advisory services (i.e.: Planning
