Descriptive Writing
Zoran was a forest goblin, one of the best. He
had stretched, pointed ears as most goblins do,
his hands and feet were extremely large to assist
him in climbing trees and running fast. He was
small but muscular with barely any fat on him
because in the forest all there was hard work. He
stood quite hunched over, never upright as goblins
are not as evolved as humans.

Recounts.

A Terrifying Birthday
It was Saturday, the day my best friend Alyssa
was coming over to my house for my birthday. It
was going to be a great day and I knew it.
Soon Alyssa arrived and then we saw it! A light
was coming from the basement. My parents
weren’t home so we had no one to tell. We didn’t
go down there in case something happened to us.
Alyssa and I went into my room and played some
games knowing we would be safe in there. But
after a while, we had totally forgotten about the
light and because we were a bit bored, we decided
to go down into the basement.
Then we saw the light again. We ran upstairs into
the kitchen and after calming down, we ate some
food. My parents soon came home and we were so
happy to see them.
My parents then asked us to bring up some boxes
from the basement. So we went down again and
found that the light was just a new bedside lamp
and was one of my presents for my birthday.

My Epic Maze Adventure
It was a cold Saturday and Raven-Lee and I were
playing inside her house. Suddenly, we caught
sight of a mysterious light right outside her
window. We couldn’t see what it was because it
was too bright. I decided to check it out and told
Raven-Lee to stay inside. As I walked towards
the light, Raven-Lee saw me fade away into it and
decided to chase after me.
Raven-Lee and I then found ourselves in some
kind of maze. We were so confused about where
to go but after some time, the mysterious light
faded and we found ourselves in a giant garden
maze. We saw a list of rules that told us that we
weren’t allowed to cheat. So we started the maze
but ran into twelve dead ends.
Finally we made it out and Raven-Lee’s mother
asked us where we had been. I responded, “having
an epic maze adventure.”

Hooray For Hollywood Photos
Recently many parents ordered and paid for
copies of our School’s Hooray for Hollywood
photos.
Most photos have now been handed out with a few
more coming soon.
Thank you to everyone for your support. Total
sales reached $648.00 and all of these funds go
towards our creative arts programs.

Pasifika Garden Project
Dear parents/carers
To help contribute to the garden project, we are
seeking any unwanted newspaper or grass
clippings. Instead of throwing it away, it would be
much appreciated if you could have you or your
child bring it to school as it will help start the
process of the garden.
