hereby invites the tenders from experienced bidders under National Competitive Biding (NCB) with sound technical and
financial capabilities for the works under Kanpur Water Supply Scheme Phase-I under JNNURM Programme in Kanpur
city specified in the schedule below and shall be opened by the undersigned or his authorized representative at 3:00 PM
on the specified date at the office of the Distt. Magistrate, Kanpur in the presence of intending bidders or their authorized
representatives.

1. Dismantling of any type of Road, excavation,
including Open/closed timbering, as per
requirement proper barricading, sign/caution
boards, diversion & lightening arrangement in
night with all safety precautions as per site
conditions, bedding and boxing with minimum
150 mm thick all around the GRP pipe with
granular material, handling of pipe, loading,
lifting, lowering, back filling and compaction
of earth in trenches for GRP pipe line as per IS
code 13916:1994 and ASTMD: 3839, laying of
GRP Pipe of sizes:-
(i)1400mm…4275 m.(approx)
(ii)1600mm…3750 m.(approx)
(iii)1800mm…3125 m. (approx)
Including supply and fixing of GRP tees,
scour valves, ‘T’ connections with GRP
flanges as per IS 4994 and fittings like sluice
valves, air valves etc. providing thrust blocks
surrounding the specials, fittings etc. as per
requirement, protection of public/ personal
amenities, repair and renovation of any
damages occurring during the execution, all
complete work as per direction of Engineer in
charge including Hydraulic testing of GRP
pipe line as per IS code.

Contractor is to complete all works left by
other contractor like gap work, lamination
work, supply and fixing of fittings, thrust
blocks works etc. as per requirement.
Hydraulic testing of the laid GRP pipe line as
per IS code including repairing work, in case
of any leakage in laid pipe line. Trial and run
period including six calendar month will start
after completion of work. After trial and run
period 24 calendar months of maintenance
period of pipe line. All these work will be done
as per direction of Engineer in charge & as per
IS code.
Reinstatement of all types of roads as per
relevant IS code including supply of all
material, labour T&P etc. complete with two
years maintenance of the road as per direction
of engineer in charge.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
(A) Purchase of Tender Document
(a)
Tender documents can be obtained by the eligible bidders from the office of the Project Manager,
Construction Unit,120/190, Lajpat Nager, Kanpur, Project Manager, Barrage Unit U.P. Jal Nigam,
Fazalganj Kanpur, S.E. XIV Circle U.P. Jal Nigam, Kanpur, Chief Engineer(Kanpur Zone) U.P. Jal
Nigam, Kanpur and District Magistrate, Kanpur on all working days between 10.30 AM to 16.30 hours
against the payment of the cost of document indicated in col. 3 of above table, through demand draft of
any Nationalized Bank/ Scheduled Bank payable at Kanpur and issued in favour of Project Manager,
Construction Unit U.P. Jal Nigam, Kanpur.
(b) The earnest money indicated in column no. 4 will be accepted in the shape of N.S.C., Post Office Saving,
CDR, Fix Deposit Receipt of any nationalized/Scheduled Bank duly pledged in favour of Project
Manager, Construction Unit, U.P. Jal Nigam, Kanpur.
B- The tender documents can be obtained by post on bidder’s risk for which Rs. 500.00 shall be payable
extra as postal charges. The tender documents will be sold to the bidders:

a. The tender documents may be purchased by the intending experienced Firms/Contractors of the repute
having sound technical and financial capabilities.
b. The bidders may submit the duly completed documents on or before the specified date up to 15.00 hours
in the offices mentioned above in A (a).
C- Eligibility:
The contractors enlisted in class ’A’(water supply works) or class ‘B’(Turn key Projects) in U.P. JAL
NIGAM will be entitled to tender for works.
D- Performance Report:
The bidders should give the details of works/order completed in last five years not less than Rs.100.00
lacs. and shall submit the supporting certified document of successful completion of work with tender
documents.
E- The tenderers are advised to submit the tender documents in two separate sealed envelopes as under:-
(a) Envelope ‘A’ will have the earnest money along with the performance /experience certificates etc.
(b) Envelope ‘B’ will have the ‘PRICE BID’ only. Envelope ‘B’ will be opened only when the
Contractor/ Firm will qualify after the examination of envelope ‘A’.
F- Right to Reject
Competent authority reserves the right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
G- Any condition mentioned in the Tender by the contractor will not be accepted.
