Spring XD has a notion of deployed/ undeployed streams, so by default (in version 1.0.0.M7) the streams are undeployed. One way to see this is to list the streams created and review their status. Execute the following command in the Spring XD shell: xd:> stream list After executing the above command, you should see something similar to Figure 20-6. Figure 20-6. Chapter 20 ■ Your First Spring XD Application As you can see in Figure 20-6, the two streams are undeployed. So let’s deploy each stream by executing the following commands in the Spring XD shell: xd:> stream deploy --name docs-pdf xd:> stream deploy --name pdftap After executing the above commands, you should have the streams deployed as shown in Figure 20-7. Figure 20-7. Deploying Streams Figure 20-7 shows the result of deploying the streams. Now if you take a look into the RabbitMQ web console in the queues, you should see something similar to Figure 20-8. 282
