‘The <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark has grown from a rich history which in essence has<br />

been retained to reflect <strong>the</strong> unique heritage of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Melbourne</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> <strong>Club</strong>.

<strong>Using</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark<br />

Different versions of <strong>the</strong> <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark have been<br />

created for a variety of uses. Please see <strong>the</strong> following slides<br />

in regards to <strong>the</strong> correct logo to use and some common<br />

situations.


<strong>MCC</strong> Brandmark Versions<br />

Version A<br />

To be used on internal communication or uniforms<br />

and apparel. The words <strong>Melbourne</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> <strong>Club</strong><br />

should not be applied in conjunction with this logo.<br />

Clear space and minimum size<br />

requirements:<br />

The following clear space and minimum size<br />

requirements should be adhered to when using version<br />

A of <strong>the</strong> <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark.


<strong>MCC</strong> Brandmark Versions<br />

Version B<br />

To be used on external communication. This is <strong>the</strong><br />

first preference.<br />

Clear space and minimum size<br />

requirements:<br />

The following clear space and minimum size<br />

requirements should be adhered to when using<br />

version B of <strong>the</strong> <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark.

Version C<br />

To be used on external communication when <strong>the</strong>re are<br />

width space restraints. This is <strong>the</strong> second preference.<br />

requirements should be adhered to when using version<br />

C of <strong>the</strong> <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark.

Uniform and apparel<br />

<strong>MCC</strong> logo version A to be used on all uniforms<br />

and apparel.<br />

Any additional wording, ‘e.g.. Bowls Section’ to be<br />

in <strong>the</strong> font Sabon as a first preference or Times<br />

New Roman as a second preference.<br />

The colour guide to <strong>the</strong> right is for you to provide<br />

your manufacturer.


Uniform and apparel cont.<br />

If <strong>the</strong> <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark is embroidered, <strong>the</strong> following<br />

guidelines apply.<br />

25mm or smaller:<br />

-No key lines.<br />

-The blue key line in <strong>the</strong> current positive <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark<br />

is to be removed in this instance only.<br />

-This size is recommended for use on polo tops.<br />

25mm-45mm:<br />

-No white key lines.<br />

-The blue key line around <strong>the</strong> white C should be included.<br />

-This size is recommended for use on Caps.


Uniform and apparel cont.<br />

50mm or larger:<br />

-White key line around every letter.<br />

-This size is recommended for use on uniforms and o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

larger apparel.<br />

Thread colours:<br />

The following thread colours can be used as guide for<br />

suppliers as being close in colour to <strong>the</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark correct<br />

PMS colours.<br />

Madeira Threads:<br />

- Red – 1181<br />

- Blue – 1167<br />

- White<br />

Please match as closely to <strong>the</strong>se colours or <strong>the</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark<br />

PMS colours as possible.


Websites and Social Media<br />

<strong>MCC</strong> logo version A to be used at <strong>the</strong> top of <strong>the</strong><br />

screen in a large scale. If using <strong>the</strong> <strong>MCC</strong> logo as a<br />

profile image for social media, please use version A<br />

also.<br />

<strong>MCC</strong> logo version B (or C if <strong>the</strong>re are space<br />

restrictions) to be used at <strong>the</strong> bottom of <strong>the</strong> page in a<br />

much smaller scale.<br />

Web font to be Sabon for all permanent headings as a<br />

first preference and Times New Roman as a second<br />

preference (may need to be inserted as .jpg files).<br />

Arial may be used if a sans-serif font is required or<br />

preferred.


Trophies & Honour Boards<br />

<strong>MCC</strong> logo version A to be used on <strong>the</strong> award.<br />

<strong>Melbourne</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> <strong>Club</strong> may be referenced in<br />

accompanying text.<br />

Text, including <strong>the</strong> words <strong>Melbourne</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> <strong>Club</strong> to<br />

be in <strong>the</strong> font Sabon as a first preference or Times<br />

New Roman as a second preference.


Letterhead, official external<br />

communication & Annual Reports<br />

Provided pre-printed letterhead should be used when possible for<br />

all external communication.<br />

If you use your allocation, more can be printed from <strong>the</strong> artwork<br />

provided on this CD.<br />

A template has been provided to print your section contact<br />

details onto <strong>the</strong> letterhead. Please use this template.<br />

When <strong>the</strong> letterhead cannot be used, <strong>MCC</strong> logo version B (or C<br />

if <strong>the</strong>re are space restrictions) is to be used on any<br />

documentation that will be sent in an official/corporate capacity<br />

to people that are not necessarily <strong>MCC</strong> Members, including your<br />

Annual Report.<br />

Text in <strong>the</strong>se documents should be <strong>the</strong> font Sabon as a first<br />

preference or Times New Roman as a second preference.


PowerPoint<br />

For all PowerPoint presentation requirements, please<br />

use <strong>the</strong> PowerPoint template provided on this CD.<br />

Different slide styles are set up within this template.<br />

To maintain formatting, copy master slide if numerous<br />

version of <strong>the</strong> 1 format are required within <strong>the</strong><br />

presentation.<br />

Text in <strong>the</strong>se documents should be <strong>the</strong> font Sabon as a<br />

first preference or Times New Roman as a second<br />

preference.


<strong>MCC</strong> Brandmark Incorrect Use<br />

Our <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark is a valuable asset.<br />

Care must be taken to avoid incorrect use<br />

of <strong>the</strong> <strong>MCC</strong> <strong>brand</strong>mark, which can<br />

damage <strong>the</strong> <strong>brand</strong> value and recognition.<br />

Please see incorrect use examples to <strong>the</strong><br />

right.


Escalation and Approval Process<br />

- If you are unsure about which is <strong>the</strong> correct <strong>brand</strong>mark to use,<br />

- Require your artwork and <strong>brand</strong>mark usage approved,<br />
