MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB 175th BIRTHDAY DRAW PROMOTION (MEMBERS)
Terms and Conditions of Entry for the MCC Members Birthday Draw Promotion (Promotion)
1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these conditions. Entry into
the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions.
2. The promoter is Melbourne Cricket Club, ABN 92 871 871 964 (MCC), of Melbourne
Cricket Ground (MCG), Yarra Park, Jolimont VIC 3002.
3. The Promotion commences on 9am AEST, 27 May 2013 and closes on 5pm AEDST 29
November 2013 (Promotion Period).
4. Entry is open to Victorian residents who are MCC members at the start of the Promotion
Period and who:

prior to the Promotion Period, have registered with the MCC contact details that
include a valid email address; or
during the Promotion Period, register with the MCC with a valid email address as
part of their contact details by visiting the MCC website (www.mcc.org.au),
navigating to the Membership tab at the top of the page before selecting the
Member Services option. Click on the Member Login link and select Create an
Account and include a valid email address in the details provided, or otherwise log
in to an existing account and edit the contact details to provide a valid email
address,
(Eligible Entrant).
5. All Eligible Entrants will automatically be entered into the Promotion. Directors,
management, employees and volunteers of the MCC and its suppliers, associated
companies and agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
6. There is a limit of one entry into the Promotion per person. There is a limit of one prize
per Eligible Entrant.
7. All entries made by registering a valid email address during the Promotion Period are
deemed to be received by the MCC at the time of receipt by the MCC and not at the time
of transmission by the entrant.
8. During the Promotion Period, there will be a total of seven draws. The first draw will be
held at 12pm on Friday, 31 May 2013, and each draw after that will be held once a month
at 5pm on the last business day of the month at the MCC (each, a Monthly Draw).
9. Prizes are described in the table below. For each Monthly Draw other than the May and
November Monthly Draws, there will be one Major Prize and one Minor Prize. For the May
Monthly Draw, there will be one Major Prize and two Minor Prizes. For the November
Monthly Draw there will be a Major Prize only. The winner of each Major Prize will be the
first valid entry selected at random in a Monthly Draw. Winners of the Minor Prizes will be
the second (and, in the May Monthly Draw, also the third) valid entry selected at random
in a Monthly Draw.

(children must be under 14 years of age

Opportunity to play kick-to-kick on the
ground prior to the game.
Fantastic MCG Rite of Passage show bag.
The chance to meet AFL players and
team mascots.
A family pass for 2 adults and up to 4 children
(under the age of 15) to visit the National Sports
Museum (NSM) at the MCG – home to
Australia’s finest collection of sporting heritage,
as well as a tour of the MCG (NSM MCG Pass).
MCC's normal terms and conditions for entry to
the NSM and MCG tours apply. NSM MCG Passes
are valid to be redeemed within 12 months of
their date of issue.
A Members Dining Room experience at the MCG
for 4 people at a 2013 Home and Away AFL
match of the winner's choice. Prize includes
entry to the MCG and a $400 dining package for
food and drink that can be redeemed at the
Members Dining Room during the 2013 AFL
Home and Away season. Dining package can be
redeemed by booking with Membership
Services. Bookings are subject to availability.
MCC's normal conditions, including dress codes
for the dining venue, apply.
An NSM MCG Pass for a family of 2 adults and up
to 4 children under the age of 15. MCC's normal
terms and conditions for entry to the NSM and
MCG tours apply. NSM MCG Passes are valid to
be redeemed within 12 months of their date of
issue.
The winner's choice of an MCG Corporate or MCG
Lounge dining package in the Jim Stynes Room
for 2 people for an available AFL Home and Away
match for the 2013 season. Dining package can
be redeemed by booking with Membership
Services. Bookings are subject to availability.

evening in the Member’s Dining Room at the
MCG with the Coodabeens for 4 people on
Monday, 23 September 2013. Dinner will
include, a three-course meal and beverages.

An NSM MCG Pass for a family of 2 adults and up
to 4 children under the age of 15. MCC's normal
terms and conditions for entry to the NSM and
MCG tours apply. NSM MCG Passes are valid to

A lunch dining package in the MCC Committee
Room for 4 people. Dining packages can only be
redeemed for lunch during weekdays (other than
public holidays) up until 24 December 2013.
Dining package can be redeemed by booking

An NSM MCG Pass for a family of 2 adults and up
to 4 children under the age of 15. MCC's normal

Attendance for 2 people at the MCC 175 th
celebratory dinner at the MCG to be held in
November 2013. Dinner will include a threecourse
meal and beverages. MCC's normal
conditions, including dress codes for the dining
venue, apply.
An NSM MCG Pass for a family of 2 adults and up
to 4 children under the age of 15. MCC's normal
terms and conditions for entry to the NSM and
MCG tours apply. NSM MCG Passes are valid to
be redeemed within 12 months of their date of
issue.
A unique Ashes cricket match experience for 6
people at the opening day of the Boxing Day
Test match on Thursday, 26 December 2013.

10. The total prize pool is valued at up to $4,779.
11. The value of the prizes is accurate at the date of commencement of the Promotion Period.
MCC accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes after that date.
12. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, including where a
winner is unable to attend a Prize which is a function held on a specified date. The prizes
do not include travel costs, spending money, or meals (apart from where expressly
stated) and these costs are the sole responsibility of the winners. If a Prize is won by a
person under the age of 18, the Prize will be awarded to the winner's parent or guardian
on their behalf.
13. Winners will be notified by mail and email one business day after the relevant Monthly
Draw and the name of each winner will be published on the MCC’s website at
www.mcc.org.au within 14 days of when the draw is conducted.
14. If a prize is not claimed within 14 days of the MCC notifying the winner, the MCC may
conduct a further draw.
15. The winner[s] of any further draw will be notified by mail and email within 2 days of the
redraw and the name of the winners will be published on the MCC’s website at
www.mcc.org.au on within 14 days of when the redraw is conducted.
16. The MCC reserves the right to disqualify entries if the entry does not comply with the
conditions of entry or if, in the opinion of the MCC, an Eligible Entrant tampers or
interferes with any entry mechanism in any way. Any entry that is lodged by automatic,
repetitive, robotic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents, including the use of a
competition entry service, will void all entries by that entrant.
17. The MCC's decision in relation to any aspect of the competition and, in particular the
selection of winners, is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence
will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
18. Except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law, the MCC:

is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone
network or lines, computer on line systems, servers, or providers, computer
equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on any computer
system or at any website, or any combination thereof, including (but not limited to)
any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s property related to or
resulting from participation in this promotion;
accepts no responsibility for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused
by users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in
connection with this promotion, or by any technical error that may occur in the
course of this promotion, including (but not limited to) any failure of the computer

system or other equipment to determine winners in accordance with these
conditions; and
(c)
accepts no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect,
delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction
or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries or entrants' details.
19. To the extent permitted by law, the MCC shall not be liable for any loss or damage
whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury
suffered or sustained in connection with the prize[s]. The MCC accepts no responsibility
for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning a prize.
20. It is a condition of acceptance of any prize that the winner consents to the MCC and its
related bodies corporate and their agents using the winner's name, image, likeness and/or
voice in promotional and other material. Without limitation, winners consent to being
filmed, photographed or otherwise recorded while taking or using any prize, and they
consent to the MCC copying, broadcasting or communicating to the public any such film or
image anywhere in the world for an unlimited period, or allowing any third person to do
so, including repeating any such broadcast, film or other recording, without compensation.
21. By participating in this Promotion, Eligible Entrants understand and agree that the MCC
may use and disclose the information provided by them in relation to this Promotion for
the purpose of conducting this Promotion and for any of the purposes set out in the MCC's
privacy policy which is available at https://www.mcc.org.au/Privacy%20Policy.aspx. An
Eligible Entrant can request to access, update or correct any personal information held
about them by the MCC by writing to the Customer Service Manager at PO Box 175, East
Melbourne, Victoria 8002 or sending an email to membership@mcc.org.au.
