Women’s Centre of Calgary Fundraising Guidelines Thank you for holding a fundraising event with the net proceeds or a portion thereof being donated to support the Women’s Centre of Calgary. We are extremely grateful for your support. In order to receive approval for your Fundraising event we ask that you follow these Guidelines. Please indicate your acceptance with your initials. 1. To conduct an event, you are required to receive formal approval from the Women’s Centre. Please submit a signed Fundraising Guidelines Form, a signed Fundraising Agreement and a Budget to the Women’s Centre for approval consideration. _______ Initials 2. Any promotional material including advertising that uses the WC name and/or logo must be approved by the WC prior to production. _______ Initials 3. If you plan to contact the media you must receive prior approval from the WC. _______ Initials 4. The WC must not be party to any liability coverage without prior knowledge and approval. _______ Initials 5. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate gaming, liquor and/or other licenses/approvals required for the event. _______ Initials 6. You agree to cover ALL costs of the event and promotion. _______ Initials 7. You agree to handle all monetary transactions for the event and/or promotion. _______ Initials 8. You will receive approval from the WC prior to approaching businesses or donors requesting contributions for the event in order to avoid duplicate requests. _________ Initials 9. You will track donations using the Individual Monetary Donation Form and Donation in Kind Form and provide these forms to the WC following the event to facilitate the charitable donation receipt process. ________ Initials 10. The WC agrees to provide Charitable Donation Receipts in accordance with Revenue Canada Guidelines. Please direct any questions to WC Staff. _______ Initials

12. You agree to ensure that all materials borrowed from <strong>the</strong> WC are returned<br />

within 15 days <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> event and in <strong>the</strong> same condition <strong>the</strong>y were received.<br />
