In 2005-2007, the trapping system of 34 Steiner traps containing methyl eugenol/ malathion (3:1,V:V), placed 1 km apart, was serviced every two weeks for monitoring the population fluctuation and species diversity of fruit flies. Five Bactrocera spp were captured by methyl eugenol/malathion traps. These were B. dorsalis, B. correcta, B. tuberculata, B. diversa and B. umbrosa. B. dorsalis is the most prevalent species captured about 97%. The peak of fruit fly population was found in the months of March through June every year. Fruit sampling was carried out to assess the percentage of fruit infestation. The highest infestation level in fruits was caused by B. dorsalis. Fruits in the backyard and abandoned commercial crops such as rose apple, star fruit, mango, etc. were highly infested. The infestation level was found to be 100%. In 2006, male annihilation technique (MAT), sanitation and bagging methods were integrated for controlling the fruit fly population before its outbreak. Results showed a decrease of 43-91% in the number of fruit flies in methyl eugenol traps. Sampling of Marian plum, Bouae burmanica was carried out to assess the percentage of fruit infestation. Results showed that the percentage of fruit infestation decreased from 43% to 26%, when compared with the year 2005. Keywords : area-wide control, fruit fly, male annihilation technique (MAT) บทคัดยอ การควบคุมแมลงวันผลไมแบบพื้นที่กวางโดยวิธีการผสมผสาน บนพื้นที่ปลูกผลไม อ.เมือง จ.นครนายก ครอบคลุม พื้นที่ประมาณ 11,000 ไร สํารวจชนิดของแมลงวันผลไมในพื้นที่โครงการ โดยใชกับดักชนิด Steiner ซึ่งมีสวนผสมของเมทริลยู จินอลผสมกับมาลาไธออน สัดสวน 3:1 จํานวนทั้งสิ้น 34 กับดักแตละกับดักหางกันประมาณ 1 กิโลเมตร ตามแนวถนน เปลี่ยน กับดักทุกๆ 2 สัปดาหและตรวจนับจํานวนและแยกชนิดของแมลงวันผลไม ตั้งแต พ.ศ.2548-50 พบวา แมลงวันผลไมเขากับดัก 5 ชนิด ไดแก Bactrocera dorsalis B. correcta B. tuberculata B. diversa และ B. umbrosa. โดยเฉพาะ B. dorsalis เปนชนิดที่เขากับดักมากที่สุด ประมาณ 97 เปอรเซ็นตจากแมลงทั้งหมด ชวงเวลาที่แมลงเขากับดักมากที่สุดอยูระหวางเดือน มีนาคม- มิถุนายน ของทุกป การสุมเก็บผลไมเพื่อตรวจสอบชนิดและการทําลายของแมลงวันผลไม พบวาแมลงวันผลไมชนิด B. dorsalis เปนชนิดที่ทําลายผลไมมากที่สุด แหลงขยายพันธุของแมลงวันผลไมในพื้นที่ ไดแก สวนที่อยูตามบริเวณบานและ สวนที่ปลูกแตไมดูแลรักษา ในขณะที่พืชที่มีศักยภาพสูงมากสําหรับแพรขยายพันธุของแมลงวันผลไมในพื้นที่ ไดแก ชมพู มะเฟอง และมะมวง พบการทําลายสูงถึง 100 เปอรเซ็นต ป 2549 การควบคุมแมลงวันผลไมใชวิธีการผสมผสาน ระหวางการ ใชกับดักเพื่อกําจัดแมลงวันผลไมเพศผู (Male annihilation technique, MAT) กอนแมลงวันผลไมจะระบาด ผสมผสานกับ วิธีการเก็บผลรวงและการหอผล ผลการดําเนินงานพบวาจํานวนแมลงวันผลไมที่เขากับดักลดลงประมาณ 43-91 เปอรเซ็นต ในขณะที่มะปรางหวานและมะยงชิดที่สุมเก็บเพื่อตรวจสอบความเสียหาย พบวา ความเสียหายจากการทําลายของแมลงวันผลไม ลดลงจาก 43 เหลือ 26 เปอรเซ็นต เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับป 2548 คําสําคัญ : การควบคุมแบบพื้นที่กวาง แมลงวันผลไม male annihilation technique (MAT) 1 สถาบันเทคโนโลยีนิวเคลียรแหงชาติ (องคการมหาชน) 16 ถ.วิภาวดีรังสิต ลาดยาว จตุจักร กรุงเทพฯ 10900 1 Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technique (Public Organization) 16 Vibhavadi Rangsit Rd., Ladyad, Chatuchak, Bangkok 10900
