Pilot Project
De FLUX Alliance is een gezamenlijk project van de Nederlandse en Amerikaanse overheid.
De pilot loopt tot mei 2010. Na deze periode kunnen andere landen zich bij de Alliance aansluiten,
wat het aantal internationale bestemmingen met snelle grenspassage flink uitbreid.
Internationale luchthavens
In Nederland geldt Privium uitsluitend op Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
In de USA geldt Global Entry op de volgende luchthavens:
- John F. Kennedy International (JFK) - Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Washington Dulles International (IAD) - Miami International Airport (MIA)
- Houston Intercontinental (IAH)
- Newark Liberty International Airport (NWR)*

Dit aantal breidt snel uit. Eind 2009 kunt u snel de grens passeren op zo’n twintig

The FLUX Alliance is a joint project of the Dutch and American governments. The FLUX pilot
runs until May 2010. After this period, other countries can join the Alliance, which will mean
a considerable increase in the number of international destinations offering fast border passage.

Wie kan zich aanmelden
voor FLUX?
Personen van veertien jaar of ouder en in bezit van een geldig Nederlands of
Amerikaans paspoort. In paspoort bijgeschreven personen kunnen niet deelnemen.
Wat zijn de voorwaarden?
• U stemt ermee in dat een antecedentenonderzoek wordt uitgevoerd door de autoriteiten
van Nederland en de USA. Dit geldt ook als u reeds Privium member bent.
• Beide landen dienen uw aanmelding goed te keuren om u toe te kunnen laten tot zowel
het Privium- als het Global Entry programma.
• Na goedkeuring door beide landen wordt u member van Privium (voorzover nog niet
van toepassing) én Global Entry in de USA.
Uitsluiting
Uitsluiting van FLUX vindt plaats indien:
• Valse of onvolledige informatie is ingevoerd op het online FLUX aanmeldingsformulier.
• Men veroordeeld of gezocht wordt wegens het plegen van strafbare feiten.
• Men als ongewenst vreemdeling geregistreerd staat.
• Men formeel verdacht wordt van het plegen van ernstige strafbare feiten.
• Men voorkomt in Nederlandse en/of Amerikaanse opsporingsregisters.
Parkeerboetes of snelheidsovertredingen leiden niet tot uitsluiting van FLUX.
Wanneer de autoriteiten een negatief advies geven voor deelname aan FLUX betekent
dit niet automatisch dat uw Privium membership wordt ingetrokken of geweigerd.
Belangrijk: een negatief advies of afwijzing
door de autoriteiten is een overheidskwestie!
Privium is niet verantwoordelijk voor de
uitkomst van uw antecedentenonderzoek.
Who can apply for FLUX?
Persons aged 14 years or older who hold a valid Dutch or US passport.
Persons added to someone else’s passport cannot apply.
What are the conditions?
• You consent to background screening by both the American and Dutch authorities.
This applies to existing Privium members and non-members alike.
• In order for you to join both Privium and Global Entry, your application must be approved
by both the Netherlands and the USA.
• Following the approval of both countries, you will become a member of Privium
(if you are not already) and of Global Entry in the USA.
Exclusion
Any person will be excluded from FLUX if he or she:
• has entered false or incomplete information on the online FLUX application form
• has been found guilty of or is being sought for committing a crime
• is listed in a register as an undesirable alien
• is formally under suspicion of a serious criminal offence
• is on a Dutch and/or American list of wanted persons.
Parking fines and speeding tickets are not sufficient grounds for exclusion from FLUX.
A negative recommendation by the authorities concerning participation in FLUX does
not automatically mean that your Privium membership will be revoked or refused.
Important: a negative recommendation or
rejection by the authorities is a government
matter! Privium is not responsible for the
outcome of your background screening.

hoe meldt u zich aan?
Om u aan te melden voor FLUX gaat u naar de website www.privium.nl, waar u het FLUX
aanmeldingsformulier vindt. Iedere deelnemer dient apart een formulier in te vullen.
Als u alle vragen hebt beantwoord, klikt u op de ‘verzend’-button. U start hiermee de
aanmeldingsprocedure. Nadat uw aanmelding door beide landen is goedgekeurd, wordt u
persoonlijk uitgenodigd in de Privium ClubLounge op Schiphol. Daar kunt u uw FLUX
aanmelding afronden.
Privium en Global Entry membership
Medewerkers van de Privium ClubLounge begeleiden u bij het afronden van uw aanmelding.
U hebt een gesprek met een medewerker van de Amerikaanse Customs and Border
Protection. Deze stelt u enkele vragen, verifieert de gegevens van uw aanmelding en
controleert uw identiteit. U krijgt uitleg over het Global Entry programma en er worden foto’s
en vingerafdrukken afgenomen.
Vervolgens hebt u een gesprek met een medewerker van de Koninklijke Marechaussee.
Ook deze stelt u enkele vragen en controleert uw identiteit. Er wordt een foto van uw
irispatroon gemaakt, u krijgt uitleg over het Privium programma en het gebruik van de
irisscanapparatuur. Na afloop ontvangt u uw Privium Card.

Bent u woonachtig in de USA, dan kunt u ervoor
kiezen om daar in één van de Global Entry centers
alvast het Amerikaanse deel van de aanmeldingsprocedure
te doen. Bij uw eerstvolgende bezoek in
Nederland kunt u op afspraak langskomen in de
Privium ClubLounge om uw FLUX aanmelding
geheel af te ronden.

APPLICATION
How can I apply?
To apply for FLUX, visit the website www.privium.com. Here you will find the FLUX application
form. Each applicant should fill in a separate form. When you have answered all the questions,
click on the ‘send’ button to start your application procedure. Once your application has been
approved by both the Netherlands and the USA, you will be personally invited to the Privium
ClubLounge at Schiphol. In a meeting here, you will complete your FLUX application.
GLOBAL ENTRY
Privium and Global Entry membership
Staff of the Privium ClubLounge will lead you through the completion of your application.
You will have a meeting with an officer of US Customs and Border Protection. You will be
asked some questions, the details of your application will be verified and your identity will be
checked. The Global Entry program will be explained to you. You will be photographed
and your fingerprints will be recorded.
The next step is a meeting with an officer of the Dutch Border Police (Koninklijke
Marechaussee). This officer, too, will ask you some questions and check your identity.
A photograph of your iris pattern will be taken. The Privium programme will be explained
to you as well as how to use the iris scan equipment. Afterwards you will receive
your Privium Card.
Are you resident in the USA? If so, you can choose
to complete the American part of the procedure at
one of the Global Entry centers. When you next
visit the Netherlands, you can complete your FLUX
application by concluding the Privium procedure.
Your Privium meeting is by appointment only and is
held in the Privium ClubLounge at Schiphol.
