CAMILLA GRYSKI
Camilla Gryski is a children's librarian and
author whose pockets are always f ull of string.
Since discovering string figures at a folk
festival five years ago, she has written two
books of string games: Cai's Cradle, Owl's
Eyes, a book of string games and the new
Many Stars and More Slring Games. Since
strrng games, intricate designs woven on the
fingers with a loop of string, are meant to be
shared, she loves to teach them and talk about
the lore and the stores that go with them. She
does this frequently rn schools and libraries,
on front porches and under shady trees.
