Teenie Pageant Guidelines
1. The Michigan FCRV Teenie King/Queen shall be selected and crowned at the Michigan
State Spring Campout.
2. Rules and Teenie King/Queen Contest Scoring sheet shall be sent to each applicant prior
to the Spring Campout so that each applicant and parents can become familiar with the
rules prior to the contest.
3. The order of competing shall be selected by a random method.
4. Select three (3) judges that are qualified, non-partisan from the local area and no FCRV
affiliation. The same judges that judge the Youth Pageant can be used. They should be
able to judge on:
A. Poise.
B. Personality.
C. Communication.
5. The judges are to be provided with:
A. A table and chairs in an area directly in front of the stage. Measures must be taken to
keep on-lookers away from the area.
B. Score sheets and rules.
C. A calculator or some means of totaling the score.
D. An explanation by a committee member on how you desire the judging to be done
and what you expect from the judges.
6. The judges shall tally the scores and determine the winners.
7. The results are to be placed in an envelope and handed to a committee member or Emcee
for the Pageant.
8. Contestants shall be introduced by assigned number and first name only.
9. The Teenie King/Queen's reign shall be from Spring Campout to Spring Campout. The
Teenie Queen shall be crowned by the out going Teenie Queen.
10. The Pageant Chairperson or someone so designated shall give the results to:
A. The campout chairperson.
B. The Michigander editor.
C. The State Director.
D. The MSA Secretary.
E. The MSA President.
11. The contest committee shall provide with campout funds:
A. The Teenie King/Queen a shoulder banner
B. Tiara for the Teenie Queen
C. Plaque which shall have on it: Michigan FCRV Teenie King/Queen and the year.

D. A certificate of participation (all contestants).
12. At the end of the contest the State Youth Director shall be given:
1. All contestant entry forms.
2. All judges score sheets.
13. A designated person on the committee shall contact the Michigander photographer and
make arrangement to get pictures taken for the Michigander and other possible publicity
uses.
14. A person designated by the committee chairperson shall collect and return all personal
property to the owner or to a place designated for its return.
15. The Magnetic Signs and Capes shall be turned over to the parents, grandparents, or
guardians of the new Teenie King/Queen.
