<strong>Teenie</strong> <strong>Pageant</strong> <strong>Guidelines</strong><br />
1. The Michigan FCRV <strong>Teenie</strong> King/Queen shall be selected and crowned at the Michigan<br />
State Spring Campout.<br />
2. Rules and <strong>Teenie</strong> King/Queen Contest Scoring sheet shall be sent to each applicant prior<br />
to the Spring Campout so that each applicant and parents can become familiar with the<br />
rules prior to the contest.<br />
3. The order of competing shall be selected by a random method.<br />
4. Select three (3) judges that are qualified, non-partisan from the local area and no FCRV<br />
affiliation. The same judges that judge the Youth <strong>Pageant</strong> can be used. They should be<br />
able to judge on:<br />
A. Poise.<br />
B. Personality.<br />
C. Communication.<br />
5. The judges are to be provided with:<br />
A. A table and chairs in an area directly in front of the stage. Measures must be taken to<br />
keep on-lookers away from the area.<br />
B. Score sheets and rules.<br />
C. A calculator or some means of totaling the score.<br />
D. An explanation by a committee member on how you desire the judging to be done<br />
and what you expect from the judges.<br />
6. The judges shall tally the scores and determine the winners.<br />
7. The results are to be placed in an envelope and handed to a committee member or Emcee<br />
for the <strong>Pageant</strong>.<br />
8. Contestants shall be introduced by assigned number and first name only.<br />
9. The <strong>Teenie</strong> King/Queen's reign shall be from Spring Campout to Spring Campout. The<br />
<strong>Teenie</strong> Queen shall be crowned by the out going <strong>Teenie</strong> Queen.<br />
10. The <strong>Pageant</strong> Chairperson or someone so designated shall give the results to:<br />
A. The campout chairperson.<br />
B. The Michigander editor.<br />
C. The State Director.<br />
D. The MSA Secretary.<br />
E. The MSA President.<br />
11. The contest committee shall provide with campout funds:<br />
A. The <strong>Teenie</strong> King/Queen a shoulder banner<br />
B. Tiara for the <strong>Teenie</strong> Queen<br />
C. Plaque which shall have on it: Michigan FCRV <strong>Teenie</strong> King/Queen and the year.<br />

D. A certificate of participation (all contestants).<br />
12. At the end of the contest the State Youth Director shall be given:<br />
1. All contestant entry forms.<br />
2. All judges score sheets.<br />
13. A designated person on the committee shall contact the Michigander photographer and<br />
make arrangement to get pictures taken for the Michigander and other possible publicity<br />
uses.<br />
14. A person designated by the committee chairperson shall collect and return all personal<br />
property to the owner or to a place designated for its return.<br />
15. The Magnetic Signs and Capes shall be turned over to the parents, grandparents, or<br />
guardians of the new <strong>Teenie</strong> King/Queen.<br />
