The Melody is a bookshelf speaker
with a two way rear ported bass
reflex design.
Created entirely from the Research
and Development of Synthesis using
sophisticated CAD programs and
extensive listening and fine tuning,
the Melody Leather trace's the same
principles that characterise our other
models.
Constructed of wood to an elevated
density, it is cut by computer control,
therefore guaranteeing absolute
precision in the manufacturing and
building process.
In order to increase the rigidity of the
design, the panels are glued in such a
way so as to eliminate standing
sound waves within the inner
cabinet.
The flanks, in natural wood, are
mated with Dove tails and are also
glued between surfaces. Such
attention to detail allows us to obtain
a further increase in the rigidity of
the panel and so an even smaller
overall resonance factor.
The drivers used are a custom
manufactured 130 millimetre
polypropylene mid/woofer and a 25
millimetre silk dome tweeter. These
drivers are made specifically for the
Melody.
Thanks to this design we are able to
obtain extended frequencies down to
50 Hz and we are also able to
delineate the high frequency range up
to 20 kHz.
More over the tweeter possesses the
ability to reproduce a rich, precise
and incredibly natural sound.
With an efficiency of 88 dB and a
power handling of 80 watts rms, the
Melody is at home on most
amplifiers.
The aim of Synthesis was to
construct a speaker that would
recreate for the customer the most
realistic sonic reproduction.
It is in this reproduction that music is
loved, be it rock or classical, blues or
jazz. This ability follows for either
Audio or for Home Cinema.
We want to create a reproduction that
is more realistic than just a
recording, but to capture the essence
of the musical event, and the
emotional pleasure that it implies.
All of our speakers are designed in
order to be able to reproduce music
in normal domestic atmospheres,
rather than only in an acoustically
perfect room.
Great care has been given to the
aesthetic factor. Beautiful real woods
and matched finishes make this
speaker a perfect partner with the
other fine products of Synthesis.
With such a choice this allows with
both great elegance and refinement
these systems to integrate seamlessly
into any home environment.
