Abstract: J iangyema chrom ite deposit lies in the Laangcuo rock body of which locates in the western<br />

Yaluzangbujiang ultramafic rock belt. It is a sort of the Cr2rich podiform chrom ite deposit. This article mostly<br />

discuss p rospect for the J iangyema podiform chrom ite deposit and its gological characteristics in Pulan Country,<br />

Tibet. According to the analysis of the rockfacies characteristics of Laangcuo rock body, investigated podiform<br />

chrom ite belt and ore spots of which have been discovered in J iangyema chrom ite m ine area, compared with<br />

chrom ite deposits of Luobusha and Dongqiao in Tibet. In this paper summarized the rule of the ore bodies distri2<br />

bution and their occurrence. This area exists geological condition for form ing podiform deposits on large scale<br />

and rep resents good p rospecting potentiality.<br />
