Guidelines for Preparation of Manuscripts
Submissions:
Manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate, accompanied by a US$ 130 (US$60 for
subscribers) submission fee. Make check payable to the Journal of Accounting,
Finance & Management Strategy (JAFMS). The proceeds from the submission fees
are used to pay for refereeing services. Papers must not have been published and must
not be under consideration elsewhere. Manuscripts should be sent to either place:
Journal of Accounting, Finance & Management Strategy
E-mail: thejafms@gmail.com
Identification:
To maintain anonymity in the review process, only the title should appear on the
manuscript. Attach a cover page with the following information: (1) the title of the
manuscript; (2) the name(s) and institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s); (3) an
address for correspondence; (4)a telephone/facsimile number and an e-mail address.
Abstract:
Manuscripts must include an abstract of approximately 120words that succinctly
summarizes the key points on a separate page.
Keywords:
Authors should list two to five key words to identify the contents of their paper.
JEL Classification:
Authors should list one to three to identify the contents of their paper. Please follow
the URL (http://www.aeaweb.org/jel/jel_class_system.php) to classify the contents of
their paper.
Typing:
Manuscripts should be double-spaced throughout (including all quotations and
footnotes), and typed in English and French on single sides of paper. Generous
margins on all sides of the page should be allowed for and pages numbered
consecutively.
Equations:

Equations within the text should be centered on a separate line and numbered
consecutively at the right margin in parentheses.
Tables and figures:
They should be prepared on separate sheets and placed at the end of articles. The
author(s) should indicate the approximate locations where tables and figures are to be
inserted in the text with a phrase such as “Inset Table 1 Here”. Each table and figure
should be numbered Table 2:Fingure2, and so on. Tables should have brief descriptive
titles and figures have explanatory captions.
Footnotes:
Notes should be marked clearly in the text by superscript numbers, and listed
consecutively on a separate page titled "Notes" at the end of the article. They should
not be at the bottom of the relevant page. The use of notes should be kept to a
minimum.
References:
The reference list should include only the most relevant papers. In the text, references
to publications should appear as follows: “Smith (1998) argued that…” or “This issue
has been studied previously (e.g. Smith et al., 1981)”.All references should be
alphabetized by author(s) last names(s) and preceded by sequential numbers,
appearing on a separate sheet entitled “References”. References should appear as
follows: (one for books, one for journals, and one for contributions to collective
works).
needs to be shortened or particular expressions Deleted or rephrased, such proposed
changes will be submitted to the author for approval prior to publication. Correction
of errors in punctuation, spelling and style will not be submitted for approval if they
do not alter the meaning or the sense of the original manuscript.

Magnetic copies:
When a manuscript is accepted, the author(s) should submit a file copy saved onto a
3.5 inch floppy disc. The file should be saved in the “Microsoft Word” format, and
prepared on the A4 format paper. Alternatively, JAFMS will accept submissions by
email, again using the above formats. If e-mail is used then documents should be sent
unencoded to …@... A delivery confirmation will be sent on receipt of the e-mail.
