An Influence Investigation of Service Quality and Health Effect on<br />

Tourist Satisfaction and Behavior Intention: A Case of Guan-Zi-Ling<br />

Hot Spring District<br />

Abstract<br />

This study aims to construct a relation model between service quality, health effect, satisfaction, and behavior<br />

intention using the structural equation modeling. In this study, the service quality is composed of convenience, hot<br />

spring facilities and staff quality and the health effect is consisted of stress relaxation, beauty treatment for the face<br />

and immunity improvement. The questionnaire survey method and convenience sampling method are adopted and the<br />

tourists to the Guan-Zi-Ling hot spring district were conducted. A total of 335 questionnaires were investigated, in<br />

which a total of 319 questionnaires were valid. The analysis results reveal that the main health effect of hot spring is<br />

stress relaxation and the main service quality is convenience. By the structural equation modeling, it is found that the<br />

health effect has no significant influence on tourist satisfaction and behavioral intention, but there is a medium<br />

correlation between health effect and service quality. The service quality has a direct influence on tourist satisfaction<br />

and has an indirect influence on behavioral intention. The tourist satisfaction has a significant influence on behavioral<br />

intention as well.<br />
