Tamuwan
• According to the excavations in
Kaohola Sothere conducted by
the Archeological department and
Cambridge University, Gurungs come
to the Gandaki region.
• Other scholars like Dor Bahadur Bista,
Bernard Pignun also support this view
in their books and reports.
• According to history, since the regime
of Jagati Khan the Samari Kahale
(Ghale) have lived in this area.
• The Tamu history is the oldest among
all other ethnic groups.
• As per historical documents this is the
appropriate province for the Tamu
people
Geography:
• The boundary provided by CSRDSP is
not appropriate and the border of this
province should include-all the area
between the Kali Gandaki and Budhi
Gandaki including the districts of
Mustang, Manang, Gorkha, Lamjung,
Kaski, Tanahu, Parbat and Syangja.

any province, it should include the
mountain, hills and the Tarai so
Tamuwan province should include
Nawalparasi district.
