Family nurse practitioners provide

“We went to every major city that
had any retail clinic presence to
see how it’s being done across the
country,” said MEDPOINT express
Director Chris Endres. “We evaluated
what services they offer, how their
facilities are laid out and their services
executed. We saw what clinics were
doing well, and what clinics were not.”
With a thorough report in hand,
Endres and his team developed a plan
to expand MEDPOINT express from
its original location—inside Wal-Mart
stores—to include grocery stores such
as Martin’s.
“Our objective is to improve
accessibility to health care,” says
Endres. “MEDPOINT express is a
convenient option for busy people,
including parents of children who
have minor illnesses.” The Martin’s
and Wal-Mart on-site pharmacies add
to the convenience and help patients
save even more time, he added.
