Revista T<strong>in</strong>erilor Economişti (The Young Economists Journal)<br />

Sometimes a group can be divided <strong>in</strong> smaller and more homogeneous groups –<br />

a breakdown useful especially when career development can be achieved not only<br />

upwards, but also by mov<strong>in</strong>g horizontally.<br />

The <strong>in</strong>formation obta<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> this way can be used for career plann<strong>in</strong>g and to<br />

determ<strong>in</strong>e the attributes and skills at each level.<br />

Moreover, such an analysis can be used to develop salary structures accord<strong>in</strong>g<br />

to different job groups.<br />

Career analysis can not be done without job analysis, which is one <strong>of</strong> the most<br />

important activities <strong>of</strong> human resource <strong>management</strong>.<br />
