on <strong>in</strong>formation systems<br />

Adapt<strong>in</strong>g systems to the <strong>change</strong>over is a complicated process that should not be<br />

underestimated; all bus<strong>in</strong>esses need to prepare a project with all the <strong>change</strong>s result<strong>in</strong>g<br />

from the <strong>change</strong>over: what steps should follow the objectives and those responsible.<br />

This implies: <strong>in</strong>volvement <strong>of</strong> members from various areas <strong>of</strong> activity and the<br />

existence <strong>of</strong> knowledge the follow<strong>in</strong>g areas:<br />

‣ Specify the bus<strong>in</strong>ess and s<strong>of</strong>tware are used (users and <strong>management</strong>);<br />

‣ design<strong>in</strong>g and develop<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>formation systems (systems analyst)<br />

‣ technical aspects <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>formation systems (programmers);<br />

‣ <strong>management</strong> and account<strong>in</strong>g (accountants and auditors).<br />

Troubleshoot<strong>in</strong>g <strong>change</strong>over requires <strong>in</strong>volv<strong>in</strong>g the users <strong>in</strong> identify<strong>in</strong>g<br />

problems, but also <strong>in</strong> f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g solutions for their resolution. The prepar<strong>in</strong>g start for the<br />

<strong>change</strong>over to a company lies <strong>in</strong> creat<strong>in</strong>g a true picture <strong>of</strong> f<strong>in</strong>ancial account<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>in</strong>formation system, which requires:<br />

• prepare a comprehensive list <strong>of</strong> systems that process f<strong>in</strong>ancial account<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>in</strong>formation, underestimat<strong>in</strong>g the number <strong>of</strong> systems to be <strong>change</strong>d can cause major<br />

problems after the strategy <strong>change</strong>s;<br />

• document<strong>in</strong>g the technical details on how to implement systems:<br />

document<strong>in</strong>g s<strong>of</strong>tware solutions acquired or created with its own resources,<br />

identification <strong>of</strong> programm<strong>in</strong>g languages and techniques used to<br />

system implementation. Well-documented systems, which use modern programm<strong>in</strong>g<br />

languages are easy to <strong>change</strong>, difficulties that can occur are scheduled <strong>in</strong>struments are<br />

not used by the company or by employees who no longer work <strong>in</strong> unity; estimat<strong>in</strong>g the<br />

degree <strong>of</strong> damage to the hardware resources <strong>of</strong> the <strong>change</strong>over.<br />
