Two <strong>Pilot</strong> <strong>Test</strong> Opportunities<br />
• Scientific <strong>Pilot</strong><br />
– Schools preselected throughout the<br />
Consortium based on certain demographic<br />
and psychometric values<br />
• Voluntary <strong>Pilot</strong> <strong>Test</strong><br />
– Schools register to participate by March 27.<br />
Provides an early experience with the testing<br />
platform and test items
Overview of the Scientific <strong>Pilot</strong> <strong>Test</strong><br />
• Purpose<br />
• Gather data on the functioning of items<br />
• Conduct initial scaling<br />
• <strong>Test</strong> the online delivery engine<br />
• Universal Digital tools available for all<br />
students<br />
• A subset of accessibility and<br />
accommodations options will also be<br />
available

• <strong>Test</strong>ing Window: February 20 – May 10,<br />
2013 (two week window assigned for<br />
each grade-level test)<br />
• Secure testing procedures must be<br />
followed<br />

Overview of the Voluntary <strong>Pilot</strong> <strong>Test</strong><br />
• All schools that register are included in<br />
the pilot test opportunity<br />
• Flexibility in testing window, number of<br />
students, grade levels and content areas<br />
assessed<br />
• Grade-level forms will be released as<br />
practice tests during summer 2013<br />
• <strong>Test</strong>ing Window: April 1 – May 10, 2013
