BENSALEM PHARMACY BENSALEM HONORS OUR MILITARY Bensalem PHARMACY Technical Sergeant (TSgt), Jeffrey J. Mitchell, is a 21 year active duty NCO stationed at McGuire AFB, NJ. He is assigned to the 621st Contingency Response Wing (since Dec 03). He has completed three tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and one tour in Pakistan assisting in earthquake relief. His most recent tour was at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, the busiest cargo/passenger hub in the country. As a Flightline Expediter, he led a team under combat conditions. They flew over 390 missions using C-17A Globemaster III and C-5A Galaxy aircraft, moving 36,000 tons of cargo and 19,000 passengers. He was instrumental in reconfiguring a C-17 into a full medical evacuation platform for 36 patients awaiting transport to Ramstein Air Base, Germany for treatment. Since returning home on Valentine's Day, Sergeant Mitchell has resumed duty at McGuire AFB and is back volunteering with the Eddington Fire Company. Most recently he was recognized by Struble Elementary students and teachers for this contribution to our country and the Bensalem community.
