With Fypon ® Balustrade Systems, you can transform an ordinary porch into an 

impressive statement of design and sophistication. You can also make patios,

Balustrades are made up of non-corrosive parts that keep their beauty with little 

maintenance. Most fasteners remain totally hidden to provide a clean, classic 

appearance from any view. And all parts are composed of the same durable 

urethane material featured in all our products. To meet structural requirements, 

baluster rails, newels and porch posts are reinforced. For easy installation and 

ordering, complete systems are available with all the essential components.

KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER 

■ This Balustrade section/catalog is divided into four 

systems: 5," 6," 7" & 12." This number designates 

the width of the Top and Bottom Rail. When choosing 

balustrade components, choose items within the same 

system to ensure they will all work together. 

■ All part numbers are alphanumeric—the “alpha” is product 

descriptive and the “numeric” relates to size. 

■ Each rail section (span between two Newel Posts) will 

require two Rail Installation Kits (BRK). Rail Installation 

Kits will connect both ends of one rail to a Newel Post. 

NOTE: The Rail Installation Kit will not work on 

stair applications. 

■ Each Newel Post will require one Newel Post Installation 

Kit (NPK) to anchor the base of the post, as well as any 

Post Tops, Balls or Trim Collars desired. 

■ Top and Bottom Rails do not come pre-drilled. 

■ A urethane-based adhesive such as PL Premium must 

be used on all joints. 

■ The number of Balusters you need can be found by 

dividing the rail span, in inches, by the maximum centerto-center 

distance shown for the Baluster style that you 

choose. NOTE: When dividing gives you a fractional 

result, always round up to the next whole number. 

Example: BAL3X20CC - requires 5" on center spacing

HOW TO ORDER COLUMNS. 

1. Determine the desired Column style. (See Column Styles at right) 

2. Determine the required height. Columns can be trimmed for height if your 

exact size is not available. 

3. Determine the load bearing capacity (if required). 

4. Determine the bottom shaft diameter or width. 

5. Find the chart of the style you selected in step 1. Based on the desired 

height, load-bearing capacity, and/or bottom diameter determined in steps 

2 – 4, find the part number in the chart. 

7. Find the part number for the cap and base set that matches the Column 

size of the Column you have chosen. 

8. Select any installation kits needed.
