VCE Exemption Process<br />
Start<br />
The agency will submit an exemption request to VCE using the form<br />
designed by VCE<br />
VCE will approve or deny the request and return it to the agency<br />
If approved by VCE, the agency will attach the approved request to<br />
Annex 13-D and submit to DPS. The agency will also include a<br />
Purchase Requisition if over its delegated authority.<br />
DPS will approve or deny the request and return it to the agency with a<br />
copy to VCE<br />
VCE and DPS will send a copy of the approved exemption including<br />
justification for approval to their agency head<br />
The agency will handle the procurement if within its delegated authority. DPS will<br />
handle if it exceeds the agency’s procurement authority<br />
All correspondence and documents will be distributed electronically<br />
