<strong>Nolato</strong> Silikonteknik was founded <strong>in</strong> 1970 and s<strong>in</strong>ce 1988<br />

has been a part of the <strong>Nolato</strong> Group. Our successful EMI<br />

shield<strong>in</strong>g solutions, consist<strong>in</strong>g of electrically-conductive<br />

silicone rubber, have been widely used for many years by<br />

FIP TECHNOLOGY<br />

Form <strong>in</strong> Place (FIP) gaskets are dispensed by high precision<br />

XYZ robots on a carrier of alum<strong>in</strong>um, magnesium or metallized<br />

plastic. FIP technology has many advantages, such as no<br />

assembly, no tool<strong>in</strong>g, rapid handl<strong>in</strong>g and cost-efficiency.<br />

Trishield is a unique dispens<strong>in</strong>g technology that produces<br />

high and narrow gaskets shaped like triangles, giv<strong>in</strong>g the<br />

Trishield Soft is an EMI shield<strong>in</strong>g gasket developed by <strong>Nolato</strong>, a modified version of dispensed Trishield gasket.<br />

It is co-dispensed with conductive material as the outer layer and non-conductive material as the <strong>in</strong>ner layer.<br />

Besides deliver<strong>in</strong>g optimal MIP<br />

MIP design and know-how.<br />

All our Mould <strong>in</strong> Place (MIP) products, moulded<br />

products, and extruded products based on electrically<br />

conductive silicone rubber are offered under<br />

the Compashield brand name.<br />

Compashield products provide sealed secure EMI<br />

shield<strong>in</strong>g for circut boards and make the whole<br />

construction more stable - both dur<strong>in</strong>g production<br />

and for the end user.<br />

COMPASHIELD COMPONENTS<br />

Shield<strong>in</strong>g components are moulded with conductive<br />

silicone rubber <strong>in</strong> the exact size and<br />

shape required for the application, and are used<br />

for ground<strong>in</strong>g and shield<strong>in</strong>g small parts, such<br />

as cameras.<br />

COMPASHIELD CANS<br />

Compashield cans have an over-moulded conductive<br />

silicone gasket, used as a shield<strong>in</strong>g hous<strong>in</strong>g<br />

around the components on PCB.<br />

COMPASHIELD SHEETS<br />

Compashield sheets are used for die-cut EMI<br />

shield<strong>in</strong>g and environmental seal<strong>in</strong>g. The gaskets<br />

are typically designed for flange to flange application.<br />

The Compashield sheets are available <strong>in</strong><br />

a wide range of conductive fillers to best meet<br />

our customers’ demands. Compashield sheets<br />

can be delivered on a roll or <strong>in</strong> pre-cut size.<br />

Extruded gaskets from <strong>Nolato</strong> are<br />

widely used <strong>in</strong> military and telecommunication<br />

applications.<br />

COMPASHIELD<br />

EXTRUDED GASKETS<br />

Our extrusion process <strong>in</strong>volves gaskets of electrically-conductive<br />

silicon rubber be<strong>in</strong>g str<strong>in</strong>g-<strong>in</strong>jected<br />

<strong>in</strong>to the shape and profiles required by customers.<br />

The cross-section can be rectangular, solid or hollow<br />

<strong>in</strong> various shapes. <strong>Nolato</strong> extruded gaskets are<br />

ma<strong>in</strong>ly based on Ni/C, Ag/Al, Ag/Cu or Ag/Glass<br />

material, which conta<strong>in</strong> good electrical conductivity<br />

comb<strong>in</strong>ed with good mechanical properties.<br />

Compashield EE ® gaskets provide both excellent<br />

EMI shield<strong>in</strong>g performance and environmental<br />

seal<strong>in</strong>g function <strong>in</strong> flange-and-groove mount<strong>in</strong>g applications,<br />

and for that reason they have attracted<br />

lots of <strong>in</strong>terest from customers who are concerned<br />

about sav<strong>in</strong>g space.<br />

<strong>Nolato</strong> has a modified version of standard Ni/C<br />

hollow-O gasket, Compashield Soft ® . It is co-extruded<br />

with conductive material as the outer layer and<br />

non-conductive material as the <strong>in</strong>ner layer. It has<br />

less compression set and less compression force than<br />

standard Ni/C gaskets.<br />

<strong>Nolato</strong> is expand<strong>in</strong>g its product portfolio<br />

with thermal <strong>in</strong>terface materials.<br />

Compatherm ® , a thermally conductive gap filler or<br />

compound from <strong>Nolato</strong>, is used to transfer heat from<br />

hot components on a PCB to a heat s<strong>in</strong>k. The materials<br />

are designed to fill <strong>in</strong> small air gaps and microscopic<br />

irregularities, result<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> dramatically lower thermal<br />

resistance and thus better cool<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

The product is either sold <strong>in</strong> sheets cut <strong>in</strong>to application-sized<br />

pads or as a compound. We can certify the<br />

W/mk for each batch we deliver to ensure thermal<br />

conductivity for users.<br />
