Nolato Silikonteknik was founded in 1970 and since 1988 

has been a part of the Nolato Group. Our successful EMI 

shielding solutions, consisting of electrically-conductive 

silicone rubber, have been widely used for many years by 

leading telecom manufacturers around the world. But above 

all, we have continually refined new, improved dispensing, 

extrusion and moulding materials and application methods 

for these products using the latest technology.

FIP TECHNOLOGY 

Form in Place (FIP) gaskets are dispensed by high precision 

XYZ robots on a carrier of aluminum, magnesium or metallized 

plastic. FIP technology has many advantages, such as no 

assembly, no tooling, rapid handling and cost-efficiency. 

Nolato has a wide range of elastomeric compounds 

engineered to achieve excellent EMI 

shielding and mechanical properties. 

Nolato’s R&D center in Sweden is dedicated 

to develop optimized material that fulfill the 

customers’ demands. 


Nolato has a unique technology for 

dispensing triangular shaped gaskets. 

Trishield is a unique dispensing technology that produces 

high and narrow gaskets shaped like triangles, giving the 

following advantages: 

Producing very narrow and high gaskets 

Reduce production cycle time by up to 50%, due to 

Trishield does not need double beading to make a 

high gasket as the traditional D-shape. 

Reduce material consumption by up to 30%, thanks 

to its triangular shape

Trishield has been widely used throughout the

Trishield Soft ® – The next generation FIP 

gasket from Nolato. 

Trishield Soft is an EMI shielding gasket developed by Nolato, a modified version of dispensed Trishield gasket. 

It is co-dispensed with conductive material as the outer layer and non-conductive material as the inner layer.

Besides delivering optimal MIP 

material, Nolato provides 

MIP design and know-how. 

All our Mould in Place (MIP) products, moulded 

products, and extruded products based on electrically 

conductive silicone rubber are offered under 

the Compashield brand name. 

Compashield products provide sealed secure EMI 

shielding for circut boards and make the whole 

construction more stable - both during production 

and for the end user. 

COMPASHIELD COMPONENTS 

Shielding components are moulded with conductive 

silicone rubber in the exact size and 

shape required for the application, and are used 

for grounding and shielding small parts, such 

as cameras. 

COMPASHIELD CANS 

Compashield cans have an over-moulded conductive 

silicone gasket, used as a shielding housing 

around the components on PCB. 

COMPASHIELD SHEETS 

Compashield sheets are used for die-cut EMI 

shielding and environmental sealing. The gaskets 

are typically designed for flange to flange application. 

The Compashield sheets are available in 

a wide range of conductive fillers to best meet 

our customers’ demands. Compashield sheets 

can be delivered on a roll or in pre-cut size. 


Extruded gaskets from Nolato are 

widely used in military and telecommunication 

applications. 

COMPASHIELD 

EXTRUDED GASKETS 

Our extrusion process involves gaskets of electrically-conductive 

silicon rubber being string-injected 

into the shape and profiles required by customers. 

The cross-section can be rectangular, solid or hollow 

in various shapes. Nolato extruded gaskets are 

mainly based on Ni/C, Ag/Al, Ag/Cu or Ag/Glass 

material, which contain good electrical conductivity 

combined with good mechanical properties. 

Compashield EE ® gaskets provide both excellent 

EMI shielding performance and environmental 

sealing function in flange-and-groove mounting applications, 

and for that reason they have attracted 

lots of interest from customers who are concerned 

about saving space. 

Nolato has a modified version of standard Ni/C 

hollow-O gasket, Compashield Soft ® . It is co-extruded 

with conductive material as the outer layer and 

non-conductive material as the inner layer. It has 

less compression set and less compression force than 

standard Ni/C gaskets. 


Nolato is expanding its product portfolio 

with thermal interface materials. 

Compatherm ® , a thermally conductive gap filler or 

compound from Nolato, is used to transfer heat from 

hot components on a PCB to a heat sink. The materials 

are designed to fill in small air gaps and microscopic 

irregularities, resulting in dramatically lower thermal 

resistance and thus better cooling. 

The product is either sold in sheets cut into application-sized 

pads or as a compound. We can certify the 

W/mk for each batch we deliver to ensure thermal 

conductivity for users.
