Application Guidelines and Criteria for 2015
As part of Leicester City Gymnastics Networks commitment to supporting
local sport clubs, coaches and volunteers a Coach Bursary Scheme has been
developed to provide subsidised access to learning opportunities that will
improve and grow the gymnastics workforce. Small grants of funding can be
applied for to access approved courses and qualifications in Gymnastics.
To apply for funding please read through the following information and fully
complete the application form below.
Aim of the Scheme
To provide financial support for local coaches and volunteers that work with
organisations within the City to develop gymnastics.
Application Process
All applicants must complete a current Application Form for the Leicester City
Gymnastics Network Coach Bursary Scheme (Application forms can be
requested from the Gymnastics Network Officer)
There are no set deadlines for the receipt of applications. Applications will be
assessed at the next Gymnastics Network meeting following receipt of the
application. The Network meets 4 times a year.
Applicants will be informed of the Networks decision regarding their
application within 3 weeks of the meeting.
Leicester City Gymnastics Network Bursary Scheme

General Criteria
Applicants must be volunteering and/or coaching at a club or an organisation
within Leicester City.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate how they are supporting the delivery
of the Leicester City Gymnastics Network Development Plan. A copy of the
plan is available from the Gymnastics Network Officer.
Grants will be considered up to 50% of the total cost of the qualification, up
to a maximum of £150.
All applicants must provide a reference to accompany their application.
All applicants will be expected to provide evidence of booking onto a
qualification, in order to gain the funding
Leicester City Gymnastics Network reserve the right to disprove applications,
even if the specified criteria have been met. Each application will be
considered on its own merit.
All decisions are subject to funding availability.
General Information
This is a one-off funding opportunity, to provide grants to eligible applicants
until there is no funding left
Grants cannot be awarded retrospectively; all applications must be submitted
and approved prior to coach/ volunteer attending the qualification course.
Applicant to provide permission for their photograph and details to be used
within any promotional material.
Applicant will be asked to reference the Leicester City Gymnastics Network
Coach Bursary Scheme during verbal or written press engagement or
organisation updates where the topic of funding is covered.
Each applicant will only be eligible to receive one Coach Bursary Grant in any
one financial year.

Successful Applications
Successful applicants will be required to sign the Grant Acceptance Form. In
signing this form, the applicant agrees to adhere to the above criteria.
Leicester City Gymnastics Network reserve the right to reclaim all or part of
the grant if these criteria are breached.
