b The recommended setting
for this field is Cosine.
• Apodization b selects the apodization function that is applied to
the interferogram before computing the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT).
The available apodization functions are listed and described in Appendix A
on page 31.
• Laser Freq must be set to the frequency of the reference laser.
This value should be 15799.7 for the red He-Ne laser used in all standard FT-
IR Series spectrometers. Changing this value will render the data acquired
incompatible with other data and with standard methods and libraries.
• Absorbance Cut-Off min and Cut-Off max define the minimum and
maximum values that any absorbance spectrum can reach.
If the spectrum goes out of this range it is automatically truncated.
• Transmittance Cut-Off min and Cut-Off max define the minimum and
maximum values that any transmittance spectrum can reach.
If the spectrum goes out of this range it is automatically truncated.
