A good fit allows your paddle to perform properly in the water, increasing your performance and fun, while reducing your fatigue. Simply answer the questions outlined here and cross reference the info. below to determine the best paddle option for you. Enjoy your new paddle! Px My Paddle Prescription 7≥ 6.5≥ Paddling Style :: Low Angle, the most common paddling style, relaxed cadence and less fatiguing on longer trips. :: High Angle, faster cadence, wider variety of paddle strokes used and shorter paddle lengths. Blade Size :: Full-size are appropriate for stronger, well conditioned paddlers. :: Mid-size blades fits the widest range of kayakers. :: Smaller blades are gentle on joints and great for smaller paddlers. Shaft Type Both have benefits. :: Straight is more traditional, lighter and less expensive. :: Neutral Bent Shafts naturally align your wrists to reduce fatigue and allows more hand to shaft contact for increased control while maintaining a lighter grip. Shaft Diameter Hands smaller than 6.5´´ fit our Small Shaft, hands larger than 7´´ fit our Standard Shaft, 6.5´´ to 7´´ — try both! Use chart to the right to measure.
