CAMSHAFT<br />
Camshaft, disassembly<br />
Loosen the screws and remove the cover 1.<br />
Check gasket ring 2 for integrity.<br />
Remove the drive rod from the fuel pump.<br />
Gently remove the camshaft, slight rotations may be required to<br />
avoid binding the camshaft lobes against the camshaft bearing<br />
surface bores.<br />
Note: The lift pump drive eccentric 3 is included on the flywheel end<br />
of the camshaft and fixed with a screw.<br />
In case of replacement tighten the eccentric screw at a torque of 80<br />
Nm.<br />
Camshaft, journal and housing measurement<br />
Use an inside micrometer gauge for housing diameters and an outside<br />
micrometer gauge for journal diameters.<br />
