classes; in addition to the classes students<br />

usually take per semester, the <strong>Teaching</strong><br />

<strong>Fellows</strong> enroll in a Cohort Seminar Series<br />

(EDUC 204) and the Leadership Seminar<br />

October<br />

<strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>Fellows</strong><br />

contribute to the<br />

community<br />

<strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>Fellows</strong> expand<br />

their cultural<br />

arts/multicultural<br />

experiences<br />

Sophomore <strong>Teaching</strong><br />

<strong>Fellows</strong> paid internship<br />

Midterm grades issued and<br />

academic report due to CU<br />

Director<br />

Advising<br />

Series (EDUC 202)<br />

<strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>Fellows</strong> begin contributing service<br />

hours to a project(s) the Leadership Council<br />

has chosen (10 hour minimum per year)<br />

<strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>Fellows</strong> begin fulfilling their<br />

requirements by attending various cultural art<br />

and multicultural experiences<br />

Sophomore <strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>Fellows</strong> begin their<br />

paid internship (tutoring in the schools under<br />

the supervision of their second teacher<br />

mentor – minimum of 10 hours this semester;<br />

30 hours total required)<br />

Director screens all <strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>Fellows</strong><br />

academic progress and advises any students<br />

in academic difficulty<br />

Advising and registration for next semester<br />

begins<br />

Grade/credit hours reports are due to the NC<br />

<strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>Fellows</strong> office<br />

December Final grades for class are<br />

issued<br />

January Spring semester begins In addition to the classes students usually take<br />

science class<br />

Sophomore <strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>Fellows</strong> participate in<br />

the cohort science class that will be<br />

completed in Costa Rica<br />
