She explores a feminist discourse, sometimes using conventional handicraft techniques for radical intent. For example in Everyone I’ve Ever Slept With 1963 - 1995 she used appliqué to list her lovers, friends and family in a small tent. Her work is deeply personal and often explores uncomfortable and thought-provoking issues. She produces monoprints, paintings and drawings and has exhibited all over the world - including a major solo exhibition Love Is What You Want at the Hayward Gallery, London, in 2011. Tracey Emin: Angel Without You, the first exhibition ever to focus solely on Emin’s use of neon ended a few days ago.
