1.1. SCOPE<br />

<strong>Fuel</strong> injection system is a mechanical system that provides access to the fuel in the internal<br />

combustion engine by atomizing the fuel under high pressure through a small nozzle. It has<br />

replaced carburettors and has now become the primary fuel delivery system in the automotive<br />

engines. The global fuel injection market has been segmented into different vehicle types like<br />

passenger vehicles, sports utility vehicles, pick-up trucks and vans. Each of these segments are<br />
