HIGH VOLTAGE PINOUT (ITT-Cannon #DEM-5WIS, Combo Dsub connector with HV pin: ITT-Cannon #DM51155) A1) HV OUTPUT. 0-1000 volt high voltage output to flashlamp anode (positive) 1) TRIGGER + 300V 100mS pulse to trigger transformer for lamp ionization. 2) OUTPUT RETURN Common return for pins #A1 and 1. 4. Trigger Module ! Mounts directly to MK series lasers. ! 10KV pulsed output to ionize flashlamp (hard trigger). INSTALLATION 1. Remove power supply, laser, trigger module, and hand controller from the packing material. Carefully unwrap each item and inspect for damage. Please contact Kigre, Inc. immediately if any damage is suspected. 2. Connect the laser head to the trigger module. Align the three pins and gently push together until secure. Mount laser head as desired. 3. Connect the trigger module to the HV power supply (unit with PFN). Align the plastic connector, push in and turn to secure. 4. Connect the hand controller to the HV power supply. Align the 9pin Dsub connector and push to secure. Refer to the pinout information above when not using the Kigre hand controller. 5. Connect the wall mount transformer to the hand controller. The transformer operates only from 120 volts AC (contact the factory for special AC voltage requirements). Plug the transformer into a 120VAC outlet. Less than two (2) amps are required, so most outlet types are acceptable. Operating Manual Page #3

OPERATION 1. Start at a lower energy setting until you are familiar with the unit's operation. Adjust the HV ADJ adjustment knob on the hand controller fully to the left (CCW) to begin. 2. Turn the toggle switch on the hand controller up to enable the high voltage power supply. The green indicator will light after the PFN is fully charged. 3. Momentarily press the fire button on the hand controller to fire the laser. WARNING: A sufficient bleed time of at least three (3) minutes should be allowed before handling and high voltage components or connections! MAINTENANCE ! No scheduled maintenance is required. ! Failure symptoms should be identified to the module if possible. ! The factory will repair units or sub-assemblies at the prevailing labor and material rates. Please ensure that a complete description is given of all symptoms and events leading to failure. This may reduce repair time.
